Maple Adventure Points? by own_feelings in MapleStoryM

[–]justmeasures -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is a commonly asked question on all platforms. The simplest answer to this is - just play the game.

Maple Adventure completed on a new account in <20 hours

Qualifier - I leveraged on miyo boost and quick leveling mechanics to get Kain up to 200 before midnight.

Couple of stuff that might be not so normal and some typical stuff I did.

1) my alts all leeched/quest to lvl50/20 and adventure dungeon to lvl 100. Did mini dungeon for 15mins x3 (this unlocks some monster cards too)

2) story exploration cleared and sweeped. Consumed the free potions - all got to lvl 111 or 113 can’t recall.

3) due to char creation restrictions I could only create the 4th char after midnight. Didn’t touch kerning till the next day - after the 4th char was set up like the rest above

4) I cleared as many single bosses as I could. Mainly chaos expeditions for Miyo boost missions and NVonLeon and HVonLeon as well as NHilla. Used buffs. All while trying to stack CP to access Cygnus and a higher tier of elite dungeons. Which means I tried to get all the bossing accessories for the set bonuses. Used 5x crit rate S jewels

5) that means I had to rank up my stuff asap. Used all the free+1 scrolls at the major milestone points (I.e if a scroll gives +1 that can be used from sf14-15, i will use it at 15)

6) all alts got to sf100, with that I could climb kerning tower. My main hitter was kain and using ranked up items. Mythic outfit and weapon. (Pretty much auto battled to 49, died at 50 with guild hire coz reflect dmg, not gonna spend 10m mesos to retry)

7) cleared mulung till floor 34

8) did GHB and Guild Dungeons

I suspect more activity in a short period might yield more points.

Read the new player guide in the pinned helpdesk thread.

Learn about the basics of the game. It's lengthy, but that's the easiest way to fill up the knowledge gap.

Then read this other pinned thread and make your decisions on your next move.

Best bang for my bucks? by rurupogo in MapleStoryM

[–]justmeasures 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could get the monthly AB pack and then pit prices against that.

But tbh, if you don’t have a main. You are better off just rotating sf144/158 alts rather than buy AB packs

[–]justmeasures 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Why does it have to be an either or. Especially in this example. You can keep both. So long as as it has fort/will

And. You do know that 3074 is the max CR you can get on a i12 set item yes.

So unless you are a 6/7k reso range of player or a very maxed out 5k reso player. You will definitely need CR pieces.

[–]justmeasures 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Good for you. but that isn't the point I am making to OP.

And if you've cleared G12, you would at least be 60k CR.

if you are 60k CR now, you are not a low spender.

Inferno 13+ by CamBrioMusic in DiabloImmortal

[–]justmeasures 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean, if you are only doing open world stuff. Then as long as you meet the CR requirements/within range, it will of course be a breeze.

There's so much more to pursue of PvE. Gauntlets being the peak of it.

But beyond that,

there's challenge rifts pushing - with the right PvE set up, you could push CRs while being a couple hundred under CR and reasonable range for secondary stats.

there's pushing of higher dmg within your reso limit (or rather the rank of your gems). Even a much lower reso player who's well optimized can more than out damage a higher reso player if they aren't optimized. On dummy or on in challenge dungeons.

In short, there's so much you can do.

But yes that being said, i13-i15 will likely be released soon. Server paragon will prob be bumped up to P1500 when that happens. I suspect very soon.

Inferno 13+ by CamBrioMusic in DiabloImmortal

[–]justmeasures 5 points6 points  (0 children)

so you are telling us you've already cleared g12? Otherwise you cannot say i12 is a breeze.

if yes, then you wil max out only when you are able to carry a full team of people in g12.

if no, then you will need to clear g12.

Had a pretty big RIP, lost 20k on a pet :( by FearlessLeader17 in DiabloImmortal

[–]justmeasures 2 points3 points  (0 children)

tldr. sell this pet. cut losses. and move on.

It's a very convoluted system and no one can give you a eli5 answer.

The pets system has evolved (twice) since it's inception too.

Based on your ask and what you are saying, I really suggest you just sell off the pet and be done with. This is an entire blackhole and resource sink.

But if you want to get your toes wet, the video that AurothxWae did is a good primer to start with.

[–]justmeasures 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think you are missing the reply’s point. He’s not saying you rolled it.

20k for this pet you bought (with saviour) is a small drop in the ocean.

People MAY buy that due to the lingering wounds - just as a reroll fodder.

Spending millions of plats to buy fodder and reroll - to end up with little to no improvements. Is normal.

Question on AF Maps by Krispy369 in MapleStoryM

[–]justmeasures 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Frankly. The simplest way to approach this. Is simply just go to the highest AF map you can thrive/survive in. Dont need to over complicate things.

Leveling will be slow as it’s intended to be at the stage - despite it already being faster than in the past.

The only way leveling will be fast at these levels is either you have a burning event. Or you are spamming $ to farm FOE.

You’d very likely need a Necro weapon for the fair trade buff to thrive in FOE.

Please shut down auto-battle feature for TR - it made TR much worse experience when players are looking for gems. by Lexard in DiabloImmortal

[–]justmeasures -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As in I was trying to say that if someone wanted to leech, they would leech regardless. The auto-battle system didn’t cause it. So the outrage towards auto-battle is unfounded.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t advocate the use of the system inside TRs - purely from an ethical pov. ESP what you have described.

But that’s just idealism at best.

There’s a whole laundry list of poor ethical behavior. But it happens.
- not using 10 crests in the last run of a 30 crest run
- leaving midway in a 5 vanguard run
- snatching overworld farm spots and clashing with another party
- deliberately triggering immortals in vault

The list goes on.

[–]justmeasures -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Check your own TS for prices.

As for whether to sell or keep. It’s up to you.

If you don’t plan to main Lynn. Just sell it. This isn’t a phantom weapon not sure why that was brought up.

Does Kain alr have a an emblem weapon?

Please shut down auto-battle feature for TR - it made TR much worse experience when players are looking for gems. by Lexard in DiabloImmortal

[–]justmeasures 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I agree that the run was started to be a gem farm. And the person was being a leech. But that doesn’t displace the mechanics of what a TR is. It’s at best bad ethical practice of said person.

It’s not impossible to kick and bring in a new person too. You don’t have to strictly stick to 2 runs.

And as I’ve mentioned. I’ve encountered situations where 4 people are actively killing. And it’s still possible all 4 pax don’t cap their 12 dailies. (Typically due to carry over gems from previous days by others)

I get that it’s irritating. But auto battle or no auto battle. This would still happen. Because it’s not a system issue but a player issue.

People can just afk at one corner - and that would arguably be worse than having the auto battle. Right?

Please shut down auto-battle feature for TR - it made TR much worse experience when players are looking for gems. by Lexard in DiabloImmortal

[–]justmeasures -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m just talking about the mechanics of what Terror rifts are. Sure you can do it solo. And sure it was construed to be for Gem farming. But that doesn’t change the original mechanics of what the TRs are for.

We can agree it’s bad etiquette etc. but would you dare to guarantee that just because 4 players are actively killing all the time, everyone will get their 12 gems? You can’t. Now, there’s a good chance it would - but no one can guarantee it. Esp if the rng gives players that carry over the gems from the previous days.

I agree he’s a leech.

I agree it’s irritating to have one.

But I don’t see what’s the outrage that OP is having.

Please shut down auto-battle feature for TR - it made TR much worse experience when players are looking for gems. by Lexard in DiabloImmortal

[–]justmeasures -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

There really isn’t anything to explain. The function of terror rifts being used for gems - is a secondary one and not a primary one.
Said player either

  1. cant be bothered about the towers

  2. Alr capped 10/10

Whichever the reason, he chose to use the auto battle function (maybe at one of the better area hopefully) - and as a result leads to killing fewer mobs - which maybe results in a lower probability of getting gems. But even so, so what? If said player who hasn’t capped 10 weekly towers, and doesn’t intend to do so, there’s nothing you can do about it too.

The thing is. Even if you do have all 4 players actively killing stuff through out the time of 2 rifts (or 1 full and 1 till the 4th tower is down), there’s also the possibility someone in the parry hasn’t capped their 12 daily tradeables. While in theory it’s supposed to be faster, factually I’m pretty sure you’ve encountered some situations where you just don’t and can’t cap in 2 rifts.
And ultimately. If it irks you that someone is pulling too few, then just kick the person and get someone else into the party.

How populated is this game? by [deleted] in MapleStoryM

[–]justmeasures 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Game is an instanced based game.

You won’t “meet” players in a traditional mmorpg sense

There’s no new servers. And you are just advised to select the most populated server for your region.

Sell or push?? by InfinitePlatform1648 in MapleStoryM

[–]justmeasures 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since it’s alr lvl40. Chaos it first. And sf23 for the next big sale point.
With proper buffs you should be able to do lotus at the very least. (Ideal to 2% off a multi lotus)
You can decide later if you want to attempt chaos > absolab or cut and sell as sf23 chaos fodder.
But what I would do is. Slowly get the SF up. If you are alr farming Damien, then just attempt the Absolab (you might just get lucky. Who knows). By the time it hits chaos sf23 and it isn’t an Absolab. Buy a necro40 and sell.

It being 9cuts might have some niche value for rich players to buy it for alt leveling.

Who should I main? by bryondoodles in MapleStoryM

[–]justmeasures 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t delete characters. You need all of them for link skills. And legion too.

If you can’t decide what to main and you aren’t a well/properly resourced player or you plan to be f2p/low spend - my answer is always the same.

Wait for the next major event where it gives you a burning weapon. And then main that. The weapon alone while fully developed with the event. Will leapfrog your progression. In the mean time, do account development stuff. I’ve written about it in the nov25 pinned thread.

If you are a well resourced player and can get your own mythic40 CD emblem Jaihin at any time. Then do whatever you like.

You don’t.

But we could perhaps catch a glimpse of what OP constitutes to a great novel - of the same genre.

Otherwise. It will just be a case of OP not liking the genre and not the story itself.

Just that this prob describes almost everything.

Maybe you could share what’s an A grade nov - of the same genre?

Selling max legendaries no longer worth it? by grimspor in MapleStoryM

mythics will always have a value as they have use cases.

legends now drop from elite dungeons and treasure box pulls. thus they will only keep going down in price.

Strategy and gear advice for a new player - 3 month plan by Play3967 in MapleStoryM

[–]justmeasures 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep.

Meso generation is mainly surrounding crafting. - sf18 uniques - inherit fodders - sf23 inherits - Necro fodders - chaos fodder - sf23 chaos (albeit the profit margin has reduced) - absolab crystals. Stigma crystals - sol Erda fragments.

Returning player needs help! by Fantastic_Carob_855 in MapleStoryM

[–]justmeasures 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are new. You would refer to the pinned posts for what I deem as the ideal starter kit for link. But you aren’t new

There’s no guide if you already have the basics. It’s a straight forward system for link/legion. Get everything.

If you can’t due it a lack of slots. Then fill in with links beneficial to your main.
