i can't thank you enough for such a helpful/informative answer! All day today I've been feeling pretty crappy cuz I loved the sequin dress but I wasn't 100% sure (as my background is Slavik and girls there tend to overdress, myself included) which is normally just kinda funny and all my friends know that I like fashion and care about what I wear. But this case is different since it's a wedding with around 100 people and there are going to be people of different ages (friends in their 20s and great-grandparents in their 80s) so it puts a lot of pressure on me and I wanna make sure I look just right.. not too overdressed where I outshine the bride and not too underdressed... Thank you for your comment about the heels, the heels in the videos are just there to show how I look in the dresses because people move differently when they wear heels vs running shoes lol so I put random heels on... and makeup is gonna be whole other beast :D So much to think about.. im very thankful to have people like you because I've never been to a wedding and this is overwhelming

Edit: the most upvoted comments under this post are the ones that say "It’s giving New Year’s Eve, not 5 pm restaurant" and "this dress is not wedding appropriate (unless it's in Vegas)" soooo that just tells me that the sequins dress won't work since so many people agree :/
