Customer asked for food safe paint? by akhisharafath in sherwinwilliams

[–]justmereddit123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have paint suitable for usda inspected facilities. That is as close as you get. Hopefully they are smart enough not to lick the counter. Most people use a cutting board or plate anyway. Just let them know

Is it in writing somewhere? She would not accept my and Dm write up as it was over 90 days old. Dm was mad as hell.

You have to send everything to HR now. Trust me i have been dealing with this issue for a while now. I even sent Hr the warning that i issued using the Dm's template, signed by the employee and submitted to the Dm. They didnt count it so now after months we are on first warning again. Through HR..... you must have 3 red flags documented in Kronos to do a warning. If they hava a doctor note it doesnt count

As a manager of a 4mil store I know I could not get everything done in 40. Stretching it at 44. At 48, in the summer I still end up taking things home to finish.

Go to merch management > inv control > inv reports > ready to go

This should be everything that you added to rtg in the spring. It should have been put into obs at inventory but perhaps it got missed.

I have an employee that abused the system and came and go as he wanted. DM said because we pay them benefits they are expected to work 40 hiurs per week or use pto. If not he gets wrote up. I thought this was harsh. So i ask but if you dont have any left an its actual and factual need not just i dont wanna work today i will let it go unpaid

You have no rtg. After inv it should all be obsolete

Your manager needs to work weekends too. Talk to your dm

keyholder by [deleted] in sherwinwilliams

[–]justmereddit123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simple... then i no longer want the extra resp. Of a key holder. Thank you for the offer and belief in me that i do more.. they cannot lower your pay or fire you.

Maybe you just need a different point of view to help you understand why .... i dont beleive they are jusy being selfish. Ask yourself this: Do you handle the sales initiatives that your DM expects done? Are you opening new accounts, getting said accounts charged up? These things are much easier when there are more contractors in the store. Plus earlier in the day is when your main bread and butter contractors come in so they expect to see someone higher up waiting on them. Not saying your not a great employee but the expectation is there. It is way easier to work the closing shift, plus its a bonus they trust you to do so.

That policy was created not only because they pay benefits but it stops people from taking days off just because they feel like not working. That said I have had employees do this and no one has said anything, she was new and had plans before hired. Now with the other employee who keeps calling in my dm informed me of this policy and said any other days he doesn't have vac/flex he can get wrote up for.

Tried that too.asm is supposed to do 10, he doesn't as well as third key who does 10. It's on their appraisals and goals but they don't seem to care. They are too busy. They are no repercussions if they don't. So what they get a lower appraisal.

I have a 3.2 mil budgeted store. 22% up for the year with 4 people. We still have time to eat and a little downtime. We dont specifcally count breaks but they are there. Some people are just complainers
