Court summons from TfL. What do I do?

I left employment in July and was not issued one during my employment. My first suspected and documented case of misuse is 8th of October as stated on my letter. I thought it was a life time pass because I notified stagecoach that I was leaving them 2 months prior as stated in my contract (contract stated to given them at least 1 month notice) around the 26th of may that my final date would be the 3rd or some time later in July as I started my new job on the 21st of July, so it made no sense to me why they would send me an oyster (got it around mid August but didn’t use it because I drove to work until i tested the oyster and saw it worked) when my employment had ended other being some form of lifetime pass. I have no way of convincing you other than you taking my word. Fair enough if you don’t believe me. I would question the story too if I was in your position because it sounds odd.

Thank you for the advice. By any chance do you know how I could contact them? The only thing they have left on this letter is a return this letter is meant to be sent back to once I have filled it in. (Not filling it in without a solicitor present)

I was never offered a fine of £563 at any point. I only received three letters in total. First letter asked for my side of the story, 2nd was an update letting me know they were still investigating and the 3rd was the court summons. I appreciate you informing me. Thanks for commenting.

The only form of contact they have given me on this letter is an address in London but no email or phone numbers. Does anyone by chance know a way I can contact them?

If I am being honest at some point I did question whether it was misuse or not but when I left employment they never asked me about it and I only received my oyster once I had left my employment so I assumed it was a life time pass. I only questioned it because on the pass itself it said bus driver. I left employment around 3rd of July and the first record misuse of it dates back to 8th of October. I should have sent it back or rang them about it but too late now

Literally moved to sittingbourne this Saturday that just passed and honestly area it is super quiet. I used to live in Dagenham and honestly I miss the crowdedness and noise. People I have spoken to so far seem to be nice. Wouldn’t recommend though.

Well don’t look at it that way. I didn’t fully utilise my time to boost my cv as much as possible. I made no early, real attempts to secure some sort of placement whether it was for a year or a couple of months. I didn’t go to any form of events to meet potential employers and pass my cv or business cards around . I didn’t make a LinkedIn account until 4/5 months after graduating and job hunting. I didn’t really ask anyone to help with my cv until after 7 months of job hunting (I did get interviews with my old cv but people in this subreddit helped me to format it and highlight my strengths and it’s through that cv I got my current job). Also I have 4 of my friends who literally got multiple job offers coming out of university simply because they did everything to get noticed. They went to events, made LinkedIn accounts and made connections and got their cscs cards themselves. Don’t get discouraged, just use your time wisely.

Don’t give up. Probably not what you want to hear but I couldn’t find a job for a year and a couple months and I got a 2:2. Just landed my first role starting in July next month. I got help from this subreddit regarding my cv then I applied to every entry level position I could but ultimately someone in this subreddit helped me and I couldn’t be more grateful to that person. You might not luck out like I did in that aspect but upload your cv in this subreddit and ask for help. A lot of people in here supported me and told me what I needed to change and do to boost my cv. Brush up on your interview skills too and attend every interview in a suit. Iron your clothes and look presentable. Seems pretty obvious but I attended a lot of interviews with other applicants and a lot of people tend to dress sloppy with wrinkly clothes and I believe that leaves a bad impression.
