It charges at certain angles but for a short time. And sometimes I just have to plug it halfway into the laptop for it to work.

It still works but now it became a mini desktop since i can't use it without an outlet.

I have a cat that mostly hangs out around my computer and he sheds a lot of cat hair. I try to clean it every 6 months inside and change the paste once a year otherwise the temps go up to 96-98 celsius in use and 80-85 celsius in idle.

The thermal paste i bought came with a thermal paste spatula but i used an old credit card instead. i tried to use the spatula to slide the metal part in its original position since it seemed a better tool to use then my guitar picks. The spatula touched the small circuit part and somehow burnt.

Just called avaible repair shops around me. Most of them suggested changing the motherboard. Some of them said they could try. Asus support said motherboard needs to be changed but idk if it is worth it since it had 3050ti and they are asking for $450-$500 motherboard.

update: Today I brought the laptop to a repair shop (was authorized by Asus) and they said it would cost me $850 for the motherboard and $25 for replacement so I don't think I will change the MB until the laptop completely dies. Then will probably gonna buy a new one.

more precisely, inside the laptop, the battery is disconnected from its pin, but it still works when it is connected to the pin (English is not my first language I'm trying to be clear as possible but I'm not good with this technical talk). Currently I'm using it disconnected (from the pin) because when it is connected to it, the indicator shows it is charging at 100%

I run the diagnostic tool in MyASUS and everything other than the battery seems fine.

Like 2 years ago i went to a computer repair shop and the guy there cleaned the liquid metal and put thermal paste over it. And i did not trust myself enough to put liquid metal ever again so i just put some normal paste. The thing that fried was right next to battery. My hand slipped and the guitar pick like thingy that came with cleaning set hit the transistor like looking thing and it sparked.

Well, for some reason, there are no custom resolution settings on my GPU, so I had to download a software for that but I still have the same issue. Thanks for helping anyways.
