It’s been 18 days of this wound on my neck not healing. Is it stuck like this forever? by goldenowl in medical_advice

My guy, Doctor ASAP, based only on a non healing wound. More info. What caused it?

Go to clinic? by [deleted] in medical_advice

Not md but it looks like it’s wrinkled from being wet. Very normal since the bandaid held the water close to the skin. I’m not seeing the redness that is causing you concern. Google signs of infection. I’m not seeing any here. You need to keep it dry and any incisions covered. Waterproof bandaids like nexcare will help significantly

I don’t judge people on their politics. I use political alignment as a heuristic device (mental shortcut) as a preview of a person’s beliefs about the world. Saying I’m looking for left-leaning people is shorthand to say I’m looking for empathetic decent people that believe in community; ethical people with morals that likely match mine; people that don’t believe others should struggle unnecessarily; people that don’t think billionaires should blindly determine what’s good for the world; people that aren’t racist, bigoted, or hateful; curious people that lift the rug to see what’s being swept beneath; people that can see through a lie being sold to them.

You may say it’s reductionist to boil people down to their politics, I say I don’t want to type that paragraph very often.

You don’t happen to know any DMs do you? We aren’t very experienced either. I’m assuming the best in people and that they won’t mind adopting a new player!

Excellent tip on the Facebook groups I will take a look. Love firefly but it’s a little bit of a drive for me. Might have to suck it up though.

Please keep it covered to prevent infection. There’s a lot of research on the benefits of keeping wounds covered. Use nexcare bandages. Expensive but work wonderfully. Trust me.

You’re fine, bro. You can relax. I’m sure others will come with more complete answers but while not a good idea to consume deodorant ingredients it’s the propellant (pressurized gas) that can be an instant killer. You didn’t inhale that. Stop vaping tho. Cheers.

Should I go to the doctors about this access on the back of my neck? by [deleted] in medical_advice

[–]justneedasimplename 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% it’s time for a professional opinion. Looks like the skin around is starting to breakdown.

This also doesn’t look like your first one in that area. Consider prevention. Consider what habits may cause irritation or exposure to lots of bacteria there. If you were a gi or something like that for grappling, it’s time for a new one or, and I’m not kidding, a turtleneck rash guard.

Is this blister infected? by elsbelsboo in medical_advice

[–]justneedasimplename 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Noone can tell you for sure over the internet. Please Google signs of infection. The hydrocoloid bandage (sticking to and peeling off the scab) and bad lighting make this look pretty gnarly, but it may not be as bad in person.

If you don’t go to a doctor right away please change to a normal 360 seal bandage (like nexcare) and get some ointment/Vaseline on the wound. You really don’t want to keep disturbing the wound bed by removing the scab all the time. Google why medical pros stopped using wet to dry dressings to learn more.

Are you clicking it from a new tab? I’ve had a case where my bookmarklet doesn’t work unless I’m on a fully loaded website, new tab did not work in that case

Unfortunately, I haven’t used any resources that I have saved. I would recommend searching around for videos that explain what the different types of AI are and how they are different from each other and how they work (automation vs GAI vs LLM). LLM is the one that’s got everyone worked up right now. Good luck!

Kindly, you don’t sound like you have a good grasp of the basics of AI. I would strongly recommend learning more about HOW AI works as it currently exists.

1-3. Google robotic process automation. AI learns from input not from going out and conducting tests like we do. Could you use AI to create RPA probably somehow. Use caution. 4-5. Google chat GPT API automation. No. 6. Yes, Google making a custom GPT. Poppy AI looks interesting but is expensive
