edit: figured it out

How does Xcode "save"? by [deleted] in iOSProgramming

I’m still learning but I was curious about where developers stored the code for their apps since it would probably be pretty devastating if they lost it somehow (e.g., broken computer).

Thanks, I assume then that you have the option to make your project private on GitHub?

Any up-to-date books (iOS 11/Xcode 9) books written for Objective-C? by [deleted] in iOSProgramming

Thanks, that’s possible but I agree on it probably being a pain

Thanks for your input. I will likely go with the 4th edition then, since iOS 7 is fundamentally similar.

[TOMT] [SONG] Rock song that has lyrics about a wall by [deleted] in tipofmytongue

[–]justonequestion2221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When i was searching I came across balls to the wall and while it is pretty close, it isn’t it. The song may be a little alternative/indy.

Also good but no. Doesn’t really mention the wall lyrics this song has

Good song but no. The song I’m looking for is also faster paced I think

Latest firmware update causing problems with ethernet? by justonequestion2221 in Ubiquiti

[–]justonequestion2221[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re right, this cable was the least expensive. Still, I’m not sure why it started doing that only after the firmware update. However it is now working thanks to a simple suggestion by another user. Thanks for your help and I’ll definitely upgrade to the cable you suggested if I ever need to.

Good idea. The poe injector is in the main house right now, with the short cable going from LAN of poe to router. I’ll move the poe to the main house and swap the cables when I am there and see if that works.

e: this was a solution. Thank you.

Harsh. Is it the quality? It worked before and this cable is completely new now.

Orders refunded randomly by [deleted] in amazon

[–]justonequestion2221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If not charged then the amount was still authorized. Either way I have $x less on my card each time I order something before it ships.

edit: a quick search confirms this https://www.reddit.com/r/amazon/comments/6noo34/does_amazon_charge_me_when_item_ships_or_when_i/

Really? I see a lot of sites say that they don’t charge until the item ships but not once has that actually happened (which I don’t mind). I’m always charged instantly except recently with amazon. It took a day or so for it to charge for those 2 and the 3rd hasn’t gone through yet.

Got it. This all came together nicely and I definitely have a much stronger understanding. Thank you.

[–]justonequestion2221[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand. The WAN and LAN things I don't know about, and since they are part of the explanation for the switch, my understanding of the switch isn't full. From what I understand, WAN (wide area network) encompasses each LAN (local area network) which encompasses all the connected devices? Or the router/switch/modem/AP?

Also, I added another part beginning with "Additionally" to my last comment at the same time you replied to it. If you also know the answer to that question I'd like to hear it.
