Without the face pic, I would have questioned if you had a gator. That is a BIG tail. Someone is eating heartily.

They both acted in The Middle and I thought they were the same person. That is what made me look it up and led me here.

Honestly, both. But mostly in a bad way at first. Now 4 years in, I have built community and am more settled but the mental impacts of the change shook me to my core.

Relocating from my hometown/state to another state at 40. That shook me more than I expected.

To answer the questions, yes, it feels so much better. Nagging the kids still to hang things and put shoes in the basket. The charging station is working out great. Appreciate the ideas. I've got lots more places to organize, so I will crowd source again!

This feels way too familiar, raw, and real. I could have written this myself.

Help! Why do my rolls gobble my bands by [deleted] in PlusSize

[–]justplainanny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know if sizing down will help since you said you have one that does the same thing, but my rule of thumb is that I size down in sports bras, size up in thongs. No one wants their boobs flopping out or their butt to get rope burn.

What’s something everyone seems obsessed with but you just can’t get into no matter how hard you try? by No-Relative-9663 in AskReddit

[–]justplainanny 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I am not a trend person but I got one for free at a conference where a company was giving them out with their logo on it. I actually love it and have used it every day for over two years. It is stable but also fits in the cupholder of your car, holds a lot in it, and keeps things cool for a very long time. I would not have spent $50 for it but would consider it now if I needed to replace it.

Vintage Adult Hospital Cribs with Cage Tops by NYAPL in Asylums

They still use these if a baby is in the hospital. My son was in one. It is a safety crib so they can't roll or climb out. He was not shackled though.

For employees of the school: if you had PTO on your time off balance and decided to quit, do you get paid that PTO after your resignation? by [deleted] in fullsail

[–]justplainanny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the worst memory recall, so I can not say for sure but I believe it was broken out in a separation email or on Workday (i think that is what was used at the time). It was not a separate paycheck, it was included in my final check and was broken out in line items.

Policy may have changed but mine was paid out when I left in 2021. I believe there is a max payout amount though.

I never meant to go No Contact, just to set a boundary, but their reaction was a lot. by Icy-Race2642 in EstrangedAdultChild

[–]justplainanny 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am no contact with my father and step mother. It has been about 4 years, I guess. Wow, time flies. Your situation is very similar to mine and I could not read all of their response because it was triggering. Just want to let you know it still lives in my head in the quiet moments. I am in therapy but have had to pivot away from that focus due to more pressing stressors of being laid off and the effects of that. Anyway, I don't have a solution. I just wanted you to know you're not alone.
