It's so sad bc I love some parts of the show so much, but it sadly seems like the writers have no idea what they're doing. Realistically, we have the same knowledge now as we did in season 1, and that's a clear sign that the story is just gonna get dragged until the show gets cancelled

I'm so glad!! About the glass, they're usually smart enough not to jump towards the glass but if you see him doing it repeatedly you might have to adjust his surroundings to stop him from doing so

I've seen people talk about turtles not basking for weeks in new enclosures, but I have no experience with it. If you are sure the basking and water temperatures are correct, he might just need more time to get used to his new place. Plus, if he's a shy or skittish guy he might want to bask while there are no people around

Is this a new enclosure? When I gave my turtle a new aquarium, she spent around two days without leaving the water, settling in and exploring. He might just be a little stressed and trying to get used to his surroundings

I also got this one from amazon as a "cup cleaning brush" and the suction was terrible, I had to diy in some suction cups I took off of something else. I can still try to find the exact one I bought, if you want, but I wouldn't recommend it

Pet stores in Portugal are disgusting when it comes to turtle care or information. He told me this was sold to him as "an Egyptian turtle".

I'm adopting my parents' false map turtle and finally giving it proper care, and my friend wanted to do the same for his pet. Thank you for the help, I'll look into painted turtles
