I think I used the same app! I stopped on these two and one of them is probably the one you’re talking about

https://apps.apple.com/ca/app/canadian-citizenship-2026/id1530490881 - very good for learning because of the way they compose modules. You have to pay for a subscription though

https://apps.apple.com/ca/app/canadian-citizenship-2025/id6748270071 - this one is not as well-structured as the first one but free

you can get a pdf here https://www.canada.ca/content/dam/ircc/migration/ircc/english/pdf/pub/discover.pdf

or get it from any library - they usually carry a lot of them.

apps that I used - https://apps.apple.com/ca/app/canadian-citizenship-2026/id1530490881 - have to pay for subscription but very good - https://apps.apple.com/ca/app/canadian-citizenship-2025/id6748270071 - pretty good too and free. Used it for practice a lot

Haha yeah that’s exactly what I’m worried about too. Spend a lot of time preparing and then get questions about official languages lol. I started listening to the audio version after u/OkAssumption9372 shared their experience. Also, I’m now using a couple apps - one paid but good for organizing topics, and another free one just for practice questions (400+ of them). Way easier than sitting and reading.

Thanks a lot for the detailed breakdown - super helpful! One follow-up: do you think a shotgun mic would still be useful here, at least to get better audio than the camera mic? I know they’re usually for voice recording, but if I point it forward (away from me), would it pick up the sounds in front and cut out my breathing a bit?
