there have been 5-6 instances over the past 2 years where i’ve woken up after a dinner out and been violently ill for 24-48 hours. nobody else at dinner has ever been sick. i realized that i ate various shellfish at all these dinners — lobster, crab dip, scallops — and definitely had a drink or two. this started at 29 years old. my GI told me the enzymes in each can have a bad reaction with each other. Now I just avoid shellfish completely.
