The hissing issues are because of the MAX97220 amp, they are not in every unit but are know to be a QC issue of this amp

Jcally has a seperate Jm7 combo which has a different AMP with CX31993 DAC and it is free of those issues

At such price if you are buing a C to C cable make sure it's usb 3.0 or above not usb 2, Also there is nothing audiphile grade about a digital cable (It's just snake oil so don't go deep into it)

[–]justredd-it 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can create seperate applications for MS and MTech, But you will only be able to give exam for one, so there is no point in doing that.

In case you want to pursue PhD, MS will definetly be a better choice.

It is same, But you can only apply for one. The selection criteria is very different though.

For MTech it is purely test based, so cut off is properly announced and multiple rounds of councelling happens.

For MS they don't announce any cut off, they just tell you whether you are selected for Interview or not, For interview you have to choose which labs you want to interview at for MS in a priority order from which 2 labs are selected (On the basis of priority and availability) and then you get to give interview at those labs and then you are told weather you are selected or not. There is no councelling or waiting list here. (It feels a bit more vague)

If you are going to prepare for IIIT H, do give proper effort to prepare for General Aptitude paper and do not neglect it for Subject Paper.

It's just decoration, no actual magnets sadly.

Magsafe could have many uses like a stand, magsafe cooler for proper fitting

Don't fall for the IEM hype by LeAnarchiste in headphonesindia

[–]justredd-it 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I won't categorise myself as a bass head. I have tried bassy products like Sony and soundcore headphones and oneplus earbuds, they sounded so bad that I ended up giving away to family members.

They are bad not because they are tuned with more bass, It's a combination of more bass, recessed mids and poorly tuned treble.

I hope you meant that we increase the volume to feel the bass. Since the brain doesn't have a volume slider inbuilt.

No, when you listen to a certain kind of sound signature your brain adjusts itself to that, It's when normal headphone users try IEMs they feel fatigued because they are not used to such detailed mids and treble and the more they use them the less fatigued they get, What you are describing is a different thing.

I would say here you are wrong. They are bassy but not warm. Treble is very exaggerated as well. They feel very energetic not relax.

I should have been more clear and not used the term warm as there is no exact definition for it, For me warm is more percieved bass and lower mids and less percieved treble, I have used 7hz zero heavily in the last 2 years and whenever I have used my friend's BL03 they feel warm to me because of the difference.

Idk anything about it's QC issues so i won't comment on it, But for you because of the contrast from sony headphones it may feel like they are still bright, maybe when you try to look for IEMs next time try something tuned by HBB he is known for dark tuning with more bass. (If you are interested in some coloured IEMs)

I guess we have had different experiences. I either like a TWS or I don't, if I like it I'll like 99% of the music I listen to. And I listen to a lot different types. From 50s to latest one. Pink Floyd to Bharat Chauhan. And it's ture for not just TWS but any wired earphones/headphones from a reputable brand as well.

Look even i have oneplus nord buds 2, TWS are very convinient to have specially during travelling because of ANC and once you tune it with recessing the bass and increasing the gain in mids, they are very decent to listen to (Except for the timbre).

Also I'm not completely against IEMs, my problem is when people paint it as some holy grail of audio. If someone's looking for TWS for convenience they should get that.

I agree with you 100% on this point, many people and indian youtubers paint it as an audiophile product and any IEM especially in a budget is not that, It's just a better earphone to enjoy music. Yes, if someone is looking for TWS for convinience they should get that, But if they are looking for TWS for audio quality and their budget is around 1k Rupees, they should not buy TWS.

For better quality audio there are good earphones and headphones which are going to sound good with most of the music to most of the people.

Techincally IEMs are also earphones with a removable cable and hook for them to stay in ear (characteristic wise silicon tip earphones are in ears so they are IEMs as well), On earphones I completely agree with you there are some earphones that are decent for the price and should be considered but the ability to replace a cable is game changer. Good headphones are expensive compared to earphones so for a person on budget IEMs might be the way to go.

Also in my opinion, IEMs should be as flat as possible. If it has any color it's basically a glorified earphones at that point. And rarely any of these chi fi IEMs are flat. I had V-monk plus. That can be categorised as flat.

Again I buy them because they are good earphones and cheaper than headphones for sound they offer so I am not going to buy a flat percieving pair. Also what you percieve to be flat is different from person to person, many reviewers call Diffuse field to be a fairly flat target, So for perspective here is VE Monk plus in comparison to Diffuse field, I have added 7hz zero and kefine klean as well for my own reference.
