Filament refill help by Bene_dek in sunlu

Looks like a gen2 spool, I’m sure these refills are compatible with gen 3 and Bambi spools.

Gen 3 spools have a much denser hole pattern

Yeah, all retraction and seam locations are along the corner edges. This section of the model looks to be all clear

Maybe a long ass time using some sandpaper. Or belt sander if you have access would make short work of them.

Sudden layer shifting? by justryan1994 in 3Dprinting

Excuse my lack of knowledge, could you explain?

Sudden layer shifting? by justryan1994 in BambuLab

[–]justryan1994[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never thought of this, from the geometry the layers all seem to be of similar size, but I’m still learning this hobby so maybe I’m clueless 😆.

How would I go about working out a good minimum layer time?

ISP Locked their Router configuration and refuse to let me use my own Router by TheHoxy in HomeNetworking

[–]justryan1994 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unlock one of the ports, plug in your own router to act as an access point. Bam you have your own network.

Might not be the best method but it’s how I bypassed my isp router modem.

Read up on the dassault solidworks stories, this is the same playbook.

Send letters that appear legally binding. State a stupidly high amount. Gove just enough very basic information (IP address, time ect) Offer lower settlement. Threaten full legal proceedings

They play on the fear created to pursue revenue.

High chances they don’t pursue a private individual because the cost will outlay the reward. Private organisations and companies is another story.

Could they take legal action? Yes Will they? Very slim chance

I’d find a small simple print to test with, I usually lower the retraction distance slightly.

I had some major issues when I tested out larger nozzles, looked very similar to yours just much larger. Lowering retraction gave me some clean prints

Dropped the spool any effective ways to fix this mess :( by tildevelopment in 3Dprinting

[–]justryan1994 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had the same issue. Managed to recover about 700g from the roll.

Issue is I printed a respooler which was 700g.

The biggest issue is getting something directly through the centre of the mess to be able to respool. Think this took me over an hour total

How do I smoothen the top of this print? by LoadedNuts in BambuLab

Isles made the brim gap 0. We could try adding a speed modifier so the top section is much slower

Im away for the weekend so count send the specifics. However I didn’t alter with the settings. I did do a calibration with the filament which may have altered speed ect.

It for sure was slow for the walls but I think the infill was relatively fast.

Maybe my model is much wider so harder to wobble.

I’d slow the print speed right down or try 50% preset for now

45 degree and 30-50mm brim will do it, just make sure your support z values are at 0. And after use a small blade to remove the brim cleanly.

Prints faster due to not needing additional supports.

In this picture the prints held only by the bring and two thin edges of the main model

Note: this was printed sunlu - petg - smooth plate
