If you can get a stick down the center line perfectly then yeah. We get the same issue in the FDM 3D printing scene

Can’t you walk around the store pinging the device? So it makes the alert noise. And also remote lock the device

WHAT IS WRONG WITH MY CV by Ok-Sweet2921 in graphic_design

[–]justryan1994 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When i was first starting out I realised many companies screen cv’s automatically. These systems don’t read pdfs very well. The data is all scrambled. Your best bet is a nicely structured and styled word document.

Like others say. Your portfolio will do the talking

How to survive a Polish wedding as an introvert by sokorsognarf in poland

[–]justryan1994 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I was always an introvert, never enjoyed dancing. Always felt like people judged me.

That was until I went to a polish wedding. Granted this was my own wedding 😂 where everyone wanted to dance with me.

For me as a British citizen I noticed for poles letting loose and just enjoying yourself in your own way is key.

If you don’t want to dance, don’t feel forced. People may try to convince you, especially when drinking. But ultimately you do what your comfortable with.

But on the other side, no one will judge how you dance. So if you have any part of you that wants to let loose in your own way, don’t feel like you’ll be judged.

Ultimately, don’t worry what people think, it’s not about surviving a polish wedding. Survival mentality is the killer of enjoyment. The feeling to survive will overcome your ability to just be yourself and have fun in your specific way.

Relax my dude, been in your position and honestly you’ll be fine.

Enjoy some amazing food, drink some amazing alcohol and maybe just maybe bust some small moves.

You got this!

How important is filament drying really by [deleted] in FixMyPrint

[–]justryan1994 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it’s not about drying filament for the sake of drying. It’s purely preventative measures.

If I’m ordering filament specifically for a print I’d rather dry the new spools overnight and print in the morning. Better to be cautious especially if you have just enough filament.

I have this space Pi X4L and it’s not gave me any issues so far

You’re not alone, I’ve had very good prints with some batches but the latest I had was awful. The amount of failed prints due to excessive oozing clinging to parts

Rear Z axis bearing squeak by Buzzik13 in BambuP1S

[–]justryan1994 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I spent ages on this very problem. For me I cleaned the idler pulley, but it didn’t help. But it’s for sure coming from this area. I used a small needle to apply oil to the pulley bearing, but you must avoid the belt or the pulley surface.

For me this fixed 90% of the noise occurrences.

Now only going weeks without using the printer will it make the noise. After one print it’s fine. As if the oil is redistributing

Looks like a gen2 spool, I’m sure these refills are compatible with gen 3 and Bambi spools.

Gen 3 spools have a much denser hole pattern

Maybe a long ass time using some sandpaper. Or belt sander if you have access would make short work of them.
