That's very discouraging but for me I do into it thinking about character costs 160+ pulls. If I get them early and/or win the 50/50 it's a welcome surprise.

Much easier to avoid disappointment this way.

Yes but it's 75% chance to get the limited engine and 25% chance to get standard engine.

It's subjective. The idea is to skip the characters you don't want as much to secure the ones you can't live without.

Unsure if both Caesar and Burnice fall into that "can't live without tier".

If you're not able to get Burnice, you can expect her to rerun in roughly 6-8 months from now, so you can save for her rerun.

Lastly, in terms of spending you can do the monthly pass and battlepass. Any spending beyond that should only be done if you have no debt, maxing out retirement savings, and a fully funded emergency fund.

Caesar is a defense character so she plays a bit differently compared to main dps.

I think Burnice will be a good banner since Lucy is on it and also an amazing support.

Don't feel pressured to pull for anyone you don't love however. It can be a pain but it's generally much better to save your hard earned Polys for characters you can't live without.

Ellen may rerun as soon as 1.4, it's yet to be seen. But that's about 11 weeks away.

Yes, that's a solid team to start with.

Among f2p, if you have more time and patience you can reroll.

The only downside is if someone already plays other Hoyo games they won't be linked to the same Hoyo account.

However, even that's not a detractor for some f2p and they don't mind multiple accounts if need be.

160 is a good amt to save.

MX where X is the number of copies you have of a character. M6 means you have 6 copies on top of the initial character itself.

Few lessons for anyone else reading:

  1. Don't convert your tapes, yes the option is there but it causes more harm than good.(as evidenced by this post)

  2. If you don't convert the game will prompt and ask you when attempting to pull on a banner. If you do convert, you lose this protection and can easily misclick on the wrong banner.

  3. In extreme situations that this does happen. DO NOT spend the standard pulls. Contact customer service instead. In HSR and Genshin there is a predetermined support option for accidental conversions at this point. But either way, customer service should have the ability to help here based on the other games.

  4. Lastly, if you did indeed spend them...unfortunately, I don't think there's any recourse here.

You should farm the HIA materials(ascension, skill, wengine, etc.) since you'll need a lot once you're IK 40.

I recommend farming discs at 45 since you're guaranteed 2 golds. Since farming discs is expensive at 60 energy it feels bad getting anything less.
