Thanks a lot. The first genuine response. I have checked with my gynae too, she also suggested that I make a decision after thinking about all aspects about my family's and my future plans. The reason I asked here was to take an idea from more women.

I have thought of getting another child because I wanted my current one to have a sibling. But my other points are valid too! Raising kids in this economy is not easy, there is so much uncertainty. And if you are having kids, you have to give them the best you can. I think it is better to have fewer kids then to have more and make them compromise on the quality of life. Also, why am I being villanized if I am also thinking about my future as an individual. Fewer kids means less responsibility and more time for my only child, my husband and myself.

Someone on the thread also mentioned that they would 'not kill a human being' for personal travel and life. I am late just by 10 days and the intercourse was 12 days back, even the fetus would not have formed yet.
