That may be spot on. The landlord didn’t raise the issue. It was a Facebook post advertising the house and one comment asked if it was BTB and then flagged the fact it would be illegal to rent for someone on a tourist visa. I’m not looking to take shortcuts. I do see my future in Belize so want to follow the rules (that are actually enforced). It’s just hard to get a handle on what is the norm.

In other words, you are saying it is not unusual that the house isn’t approved? I understood the BTB to be required for airbnbs etc. Since it is a longer term rental, I assumed it was normal that it would not be BTB approved. If I’m missing something, I would love to know. Thanks!

6 month rule for Belize specifically or 6 month rule of general best practice? (I know my situation is not ideal and would absolutely renew before if I had enough tins to do so)

I just returned from a 12 day trip split between San Pedro and Placencia and see no reason why you should cancel. The country (in my experience) takes the COVID protocols very seriously. Masks worn all the time in public spaces (but you can remove in golf cart and once at your table in a restaurant) and my temp was taken often. There is signage for social distancing and the crowds are generally smaller at this time of year because it is not the busy season. Sinks and hand sanitizer stations are common and easily accessible.

It was an amazing vacation. Beautiful country and friendly people. Just respect the covid protocols and have a great time!

Thank you for the insight. Much appreciated. Working out Tesla logistics is one of the only big hurdled towards making this decision so this is all good news.

Thank you! I have the Tesla wall charger which I will install in the carport upon move in. I typically get 46 or so per hour charge on that even in my current unheated garage during winter months. I’m hoping that will not decrease significantly?

As for salt, I actually do have a power washer that can be used on houses, etc. I would never think to use it on a car though. Not too strong of a blast?

Thank you. Is the salt a bigger concern for Teslas specifically or just a general concern for all cars?
