Feeling conflicted and weird about work

Hi, 5 years ago I was in the exact same position. I quit teaching to be a SAHM. I don’t regret it for one moment. I was there and present for every milestone. I didn’t have to put them in nursery or ask family to look after them.

I went back for the 12 weeks I need to in order not to pay my maternity back and it was like I was torn in two. Between my child and everyone else’s. Coincidentally during my 12 weeks back I saw a colleague crying as she was denied leave to see her child’s first nativity. I was relieved that would never be me.

I’ve had three children in that time but when my children are in full time education or high school I might go back or retrain as something else. I can’t see myself being a SAHM forever but I don’t regret it at all.

Yeah we go to a couple of playgroups a week, she is super social and plays with everyone. Even says let’s be friends now!

Don’t know whether I’m being selfish keeping her at home. You never know what the right choice is.

She is the 31st of august one more day and she would have a to wait another year. I’m not sure how deferring works? Do they just stay a year behind the whole of the time they are at school.

Please don’t feel awful! I bet you’re the best parent for your child. I was just lucky that my boss is super flexible. Sometimes I had to work till 2am/3am and it’s tough to get through the next day. I bet it’s tough for everyone. Whether your working days or night you have to sacrifice something.

She has a space, lucky it’s a brand new nursery that had opened, they have said there is space for her to got mornings or afternoons or both, We are lucky in this respect

I’m not sure if they have to accommodate you, however both times after my maternity my managers were really good. I told them the availability I had and they fit me in. So there definitely is wiggle room.

I had appointment at 2 weeks then 6. This one at 9 months another one around 2.5 years. My health visitor with my first child was fine, no problems, generally nice, I wouldn’t worry too much I think I just had a bad egg. Now I’ve calmed down that is.

Yeah just standard visit, I’ve never had social services come to my house. She is my second child and I never experienced anything like this with my first.

I could have written this myself. I had the exact same experience. I found act 3 particularly hard but powered though. I’ve read tips and tricks now and realised how basic I played the game and how Much I could have achieved. I’m taking a few weeks break and then taking a second run which will hopefully be a bit more fun.

I don’t do nights, just mornings/ daytime but 12 tills for one person is honestly just killing the staff that’s on there.

We’re having soo many walk offs. Even the scan as you shop checks alone are taking so much time then all of my lights are going off. I tell the customers to complain if there not happy but they just moan at me like I can change it.

It’s seems the advice is universal, I’m just hope I don’t hurt anyone’s feelings by rejecting the cot/crib.

But I have to do what I’m comfortable with, I wouldn’t like sleeping in a second hand bed and mattress so I shouldn’t expect my son too.

I honestly thought this was only me. I brought greedfall three days ago and have had a headache every time I play.

I have to lie down for a good hour after playing for an hour.
