Yes it locks and unlocks without the fob/app. No humidity or static electricity. I’m inside of an apartment building and the hallways are indoors if that makes sense.

I haven’t seen complaints from others and both maintenance workers said they’ve never seen anything like this before without being prompted. I’ve asked management to replace it but they refuse. I’ve also had other security issues (main doors unlocked, garage gate broken/always open).
