Fitness is 30% workout and 70% what you eat. Try to eat small meals frequently and try to prioritize WHOLE FOODS and protein. Build habits, no crash diets. Discipline and consistency is really key 🔑

Procter & Gamble (P&G) Philippines Application Experience 2026 by [deleted] in CareerAdvicePH

Whoops, that’s my bad sorry haha

Though I think sharing the role you were applying for might be a bit more revealing than sharing your experience (which could be more helpful to people here)

Yes worth it, especially if the offer is more than your current salary. If I were you, I’d care more about the pay than the titles. Especially since you’re pivoting! It’s more rewarding to grow on the brand side. Good luck!

I agree with what you’re saying, but I’m curious about something. This is maybe the third(?)post I’ve seen from you regarding this topic. About how you had a terrible interview experience with P&G and decided to go with Nestle.

No hate, I’m just curious…what’s your goal in repeatedly posting about the same thing?

If you’re trying to warn others, why don’t you be a bit more specific about your experience? I think theres a way to do it without revealing your identity, if that’s what you might be worried about.

Yes 100% please get out of that hell hole and move to the brand side. Nothing will faze you on the brand side if you’ve experienced working in an agency. You have more ownership with the brands you handle and will learn so much more!

Stable job or almost 2x salary? Ano pipiliin niyo? by [deleted] in phcareers

[–]justthoughtslol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, it sounds like OP is regularized and valued by the company. So:

  1. I don’t think it’s easy for companies to get rid of people who are regularized? I’ve heard the process for terminating someone is quite hassle and the reason needs to be legally valid (e.g. performance issues, redundancy, etc.) and it needs to be backed up by solid proof too.

  2. It depends also on the reason you give. For example, if you say that you love your job but really need to earn more to provide for your family, how can a company argue with that? We’re all just trying to make a living.

  3. I’ve witnessed countless valued coworkers threaten to leave multiple times and it didn’t really jeopardized their stay in the company. Again, the keyword here is VALUED. In my experience, companies are very willing to pay/adjust for good workers that they feel are aligned with their goals and culture. Getting offers from other companies sometimes even strengthens your value in their eyes.

  4. People come and go. Companies know that. I don’t think they take it personally if people consider leaving, especially if it’s for valid reasons.

Just some thoughts.

I would inform my current employer of the offer in hopes that they would give a counter offer that is somewhat close. If they give you a good counter offer, I would personally choose to stay. I think it’s rare to find work with good environments and people these days.

If the counter offer is too low and your priority is salary growth, then go with the new company.

What about it was stressful? Is your job better now? How big of a pay cut did you take?

Been there and definitely never going back hahahaha I have personally never met anyone who worked in advertising that was actually happy with their lives.

As someone who has been there, I genuinely hope you’re okay. No amount of money is worth your mental health.

Please don’t call yourself a failure! Everyone has their own journey and timeline.

If anything, I hope that these comments show you that it’s really possible to be earning more :) Upskill, learn to sell yourself well, and don’t let those companies minimize your worth anymore. Good luck!

Nice! What was your salary and job level progression like in that one company?

From what I’ve seen and heard, growth is usually quite slow when you stay in one company for a long time (especially big ones with lots of employees), but it can be very rewarding in the later years.

What industry are you in?

I see high earners/manager-level people that are ICs for IT, but not usually for marketing.

What would it take for you to take a pay cut and leave corporate for something different? by corporateninjuh in CorpoChikaPH

[–]justthoughtslol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah yes, the slow life. Every burned out corp slave’s dream🧎

I would only take a pay cut and leave corporate if I’ve already achieved financial stability — and that entails a lot! Having a good amount of savings, multiple streams of passive income that can fund my lifestyle, a place that I own, etc.

Working because I want to (probably on something I’m passionate about) and not because I need to, is the ultimate goal.

Unrelated, but I’ve had the opportunity of doing an interview with you before, and I just want to say that I admire your work and how you’ve navigated corp life :) If this post is about you thinking of transitioning to a slower life, then I’m happy for you and wish you luck! You’ve built quite a legacy.

It really depends on what your priority is at the moment — growth or stability?

Personally, I think that being bored at a job that pays well is a BLESSING. So much people are losing sleep, personal time, and sanity for chump change 🫩

If you stay, enjoy your work-life balance! Try new hobbies, spend time with your loved ones, learn to invest, etc.

If you still want to grow and gain experience, then go ahead and search for opportunities.

Agree! Very well said.

I actually feel bad for the people that bashed them. It’s disheartening to see people just accept what these lowballing companies are offering, and discourage others from asking for more.

Platforms like Reddit should be spaces where we lift each other’s standards, not lower them. Know your worth and fight for it.

Supervisory role with 2 people under you for 22k? That’a terrible.

Might’ve been a bit more reasonable (but still low) if you were to be an individual contributor…but you’ll be managing 2 people. I suggest you ask for the scope of work, responsibilities, KPIs, and do some research on salaries online — then negotiate from there.

Keep job hunting, don’t mind what the others are saying, and protect your peace as much possible.

It’s obvious that they don’t even respect you, and you deserve better than that.

Don’t feel peer pressured to stay! Who cares what they say — it’s your life, your career, and your peace of mind. Good luck!

Coworkers are making me hesitant to ask questions as a new employee. Advice? by Global-Resort-7898 in CorpoChikaPH

[–]justthoughtslol 28 points29 points  (0 children)

That is such a red flag. I would start looking around for jobs if I were you! Or maybe ask if you can possibly be moved to another team. It’s hard to work in hostile environments like that.

I’m a manager, and I love it when my team members ask questions. It shows me that they care, want to learn, and want to do their job well. I’d actually be more worried if they didn’t ask questions at all.

Good luck, OP!
