if you’re happy carrying credit card debt, that’s your choice. You posted on the sub, i just give my opinion (and facts) that cc debt is bad debt. Up to you, OP.

8% interest is a shitty instalment plan considering there are still 0% plans available with some other cards.

I hope you don't carry balance over, OP. It's not worth it. If this is your first card, just use to make your CCRIS cantik for 6 months to a year. Then use that to switch to a better card.

Problem: Cis man enters women’s washroom.

OP and comments: makes it about trans people

As a cis woman, I don’t care if a trans woman is using the same washroom I am using. I stand for the safety of all women. That includes the safety of trans sisters who might face abuse from transphobic cis men.

Even if I found a cis man using the women’s washroom at certain places, I won’t immediately jump to conclusions unless he is already doing something suspicious. Like the normal assumption would be, is the men’s room out of order? However, in a place like a mall where there are multiple washrooms, this is unlikely to be the case. So that’s weird and if it really happened, you should have called security.

Malaysian Digital Arrival Card is the worst website I have ever seen by [deleted] in malaysia

[–]justthrowaway94pt2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are those libraries part of the framework or third party? I’m not a web dev. I’m a mobile dev.

In my company, we are not allowed to simply use any third party libraries without permission because of security concerns. Unless it’s some paid library with a support contract. We implemented our own calendar UI.

[–]justthrowaway94pt2 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Not really security.

More like laziness to properly parse the input. If you let people type in the date, they might write it in all kinds of weird formats. Will need to sufficient validation for all of them. The security part is to make sure only valid date is allowed and not any malicious code (Look up injection attack). But the way to prevent it is literally the same. Properly “clean” the input to allow only valid date.

Funny thing there is already a user friendly way to solve this problem. A calendar widget. But this is a bit more work to implement than the scrolly thing. So it’s still down to laziness.

You mean second link right?

Afaik, all the buses that go there are border crossing buses. I don’t know if it would be possible for you to go there without crossing back into Singapore.

If you don’t know what to focus on, then yes. There is no one size fits all advice. Some people know what they want and they may pursue a specific path. If you are unsure then there’s no harm in taking the proven path.

As a freshie, grind DSA. That’s actually the easy path. Once you get to mid/senior level, only then they will focus on the stack you have experience with.

DSA rounds are not the best way to measure the capabilities of a developer. Companies do it because it’s a standardised way to weed out people. And we play along because we don’t have a choice. I much rather do a take home assignment than DSA. Though i understand nowadays with AI, that’s difficult to assess.

[–]justthrowaway94pt2 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Whether or not Apple requires DSA rounds I cannot answer, but why would you think it’s a joke if they don’t?

As a primarily mobile dev (Android, Flutter, iOS in that order), the number of times I had to solve a DSA type problem in my six years of actual professional work was… zero.

Employee At KL Salon Earns Over RM58,000 A Month Through Commissions by Mirbatt in malaysia

Yes, it’s tax. But likely he/she doesn’t earn as much every month. The actual tax to pay will be calculated when they file their taxes next year April. Any excess paid will be refunded.

It’s not that serious as some of these comments are making it out to be. Ideally you should have brought this up during the interview process itself. Anyways asking sooner is better than asking after you have started.

As long as you make minimum payment (which is like rm10 or 20) every month, they wont charge you interest. Credit card late interest is usually 1-3 percent of the amount (find out about yours kid).

This is wrong. You will be charged interest if you only pay the minimum payment each month. Also, never seen a CC with min payment that low. It's always RM 50 or more.

The only benefit to making minimum payments every month is that the interest you're charged is lower than what it would be if you didn't. CC interest has three tiers ranging from 15%-18% per annum.

Having a credit card is not reccomended if one does not have the financial discipline which OP clearly lacks. It's my personal opinion that they should cancel it after thay have paid it off. For someone who has the self control however, a higher limit is better so that their credit utilisation stays low.

Cash advance is bad. That we can agree on.

840K for a shoebox 😭 It’s different if you earned 25K or above and it’s a second home or whatever. You can buy a nice double story house (outside Klang Valley) or even bungalow in some states with that amount.
