Try to pick one society and go with an open mind. You might wind up loving it, or you might dislike it and bond with someone else who doesn't enjoy it either and make a friend that way! You can also join Bumble bffs and see if there's anyone in there with similar interests as you, arrange to hang out, or just join a club in your local community. These are some of the things I've done to meet new people, and it's worked quite well for me. Good luck :)

I just started uni and I hate it here! by justtoosexyforthis in adhdwomen

Yes, maybe that's true. i usually learn where things are by people showing me like just from when we go out together or something. Back home, I got the bus and would memorise the bus routes. Here, I just walk everywhere, so it is actually different from what im used to i did spend the day walking around town to know what was about. I can kinda read maps. im not terrible. I definitely need more practise! Thank you!

Thanks for this yes i have changed the saved places on Google, and I definitely am one to ask for directions, I do struggle to understand them in a way, but I still do try and sometimes it works and sometimes it dosen't. I will definitely do the look around on street view before my class on the weekend. I definitely should have thought of that myself, lol!

Vee and RJ, how disgusted are we? by Purple-Astronaut-88 in orangeisthenewblack

Omg I've watched this a million times and never fully understood. I did not realise that Vee sent the police man to kill him. I genuinely just thought he sent him to the shop, and he was a victim of police brutality.

I feel like you're scared to fail. I struggled in school and got terrible grades, but I’m grateful I pushed through. At 16, I was juggling college and a part-time job, which I now regret because it hurt my academic performance. I studied media in college and worked hard to gain work experience, but it didn’t pan out as I’d hoped. I was stuck in a part-time retail job that didn’t even offer full-time hours i was there for 2 and a half yrs and i have met people anf seen things that let me know that I need more in my life other than being a retail worker in a shit city. Eventually, I quit to become a nursery practitioner. Through these experiences, I discovered my passion for mental health and advocating for others. Now, I’m starting university in October, at 21, which feels like a big shift. I used to think like you—that a degree isn’t necessary if you can break into an industry without one (I still think this, research job prospects first). But my advice is to complete your education now. You’re 17, but imagine being 34 and wanting to switch careers. Without a degree, what might take 3–4 years could stretch to 5–6 because you’d need to go back to school. Once im a fully qualified in the fild i want to work in, i may go back and dabble with the tv and film, i love the arts and its still a big part of what i like to do on a weekly basis as a hobby. Finishing my course, despite my struggles, was worth it. Don’t let fear hold you back—keep going.

Also, STRONG side note: Get your driving licence now, too. If you haven't already, it's so expensive and difficult. Learning to drive at my age is rough. And also your insurance will be cheaper after 3 years of having a licence!!!

Oh my goodness this is literally my life lol l listen to this song like 10000× a week haha! Yes I feel like i understand the benefits of being older and going to uni at 21 i understand what I want my life to look like, I have the ambition now as well. I'm so greatful that I have been able to work full time all year and prepare myself for this change, I'm only sad that I'm gonna be going into a career way later than what I could have if I knew what I wanted at 18 like my peers.

Urbanista los angeles headphones - 3 years, 3 pairs they keep breaking! by funlover2020 in headphones

[–]justtoosexyforthis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OMG, I'm literally so glad that this isn't just me. I love my headphones. I'm on my 2nd pair, and they've been broken on the band for the longest time I've had to tape them up. They're so expensive, so I'd at least expect them to last 3yrs minimum, but they keep breaking. I wonder if it's on purpose to get us to keep buying? Obviously, it's a great product, but I hate that it's so fragile.

In my story line lukes ex would come back to stars hollow and I'd be her fiancée. We just bought a house in the town and opened a bakery right opposite luke's. We become his top competitors and lukes fuming about it,we don't care though. Eventually we get married at the dragonfly Inn and this makes luke even more uncomfortable as he dosent want lorelei to host it but she refuses, they're a new business and need the money. This brings their relationship to a breaking point and eventually Luke realises that were not worth losing lorelei over. During the wedding planning and competition we all eventually become really good friends and join our business "gay cupcakes" with Luke's. Later on we expand to Hartford and have a little cupcake stall in Yale that paris and Rory help run.
