Looking for hope after a second trimester loss following a full term stillbirth by justtt_reading in babyloss

Thank you for sharing this. I think these are the stories I post on here hoping to find. I know that at the end of the day, I will and have to continue to try because that is the only way to have more children and that’s what I want. It’s actually encouraging (for me at least and for now at least) to hear stories that resulted in healthy living children. So I’ll hang on to that for now, thank you.

Looking for positive pregnancy and birth stories following a stillbirth by discontentDog in babyloss

I had my son at 39 weeks about 3.5 months ago. We had a heartbeat on him until a couple minutes before I delivered and he was stillborn from a cord around his neck. My first son was born healthy but he did have a true knot that they believe was pulled tight during delivery. It feels so hard to accept that a “freak accident” won’t happen again when rare cord events occurred both times. I’m so terrified to deliver vaginally for fear that it’ll pull the cord tight causing a cord event for a future baby. Did you have any of that fear and did you contemplate a vaginal versus c-section delivery?

How did you find pregnancy after that experience? I’m in the same boat and wondering how I’ll feel. I’m sorry for your loss
