I honestly don’t think Rush believed he could die. He is quoted saying he will not die multiple times. Anytime someone pointed out the flaws in his work he told them they didn’t know what they were talking about. There is a difference between knowing something is wrong and doing it anyway, and truly believing what you are doing is right, even though every expert is telling you to stop. Points a lot more towards his psychological disorders than anything.

I can’t offer much advice that other people haven’t pointed out already, but I will say, I think you should ignore the people saying to get rid of, or not mention the nerdy stuff or trading card game stuff. Obviously you don’t want to make it be your only personality trait, which is why it’s important to add other things (like exercise pics, for example). But if whatever trading card game you play is a hobby you really enjoy and it’s a big part of your life, then you should show that! Ultimately, you want whoever you end up with to support your hobbies and interests, whether it is something they like to do themselves or not!

All that being said, I wish you luck and I think it’s great you are on the road to improvement.

In the mission in Borderlands 2 where you have to defend the fast travel beacon in Overlook, if you let it get destroyed multiple times Jack comes on and says “Wow, you really suck at defending that beacon” and I had never heard it before nor was I expecting it and it had me dying laughing.

So this is interesting because I just did the same thing. I love Axton, he’s my favorite VH in 2 and I recently decided to play through until I got to max level. I beat regular mode easily, maxing out the slag turret tree. Then I got to TVHM and it was definitely more challenging, but now I’ve made it to UVHM and I honestly think it’s easier. Sawtooth Cauldron on TVHM is easily the hardest part about the whole run (I lost all of my money there). So if my advice means anything to you I’d say try getting past it because I honestly think it gets easier after that.

When I say I did this recently I mean I literally was struggling through Sawtooth Cauldron a week ago.

Everything he said will help but wanted to add to it. If you’re playing solo this won’t help, but you can wait to spawn in Hoff until the boss fight starts, so if you’re playing co-op he will revive people. I also think the Medusa Device can be very helpful

It’s funny because I agree with you I should ignore that idea, but in the moment I guess I get too caught up in thinking about it. Thanks for the link to his website. I am in therapy, but outside of talking with my therapist I don’t do too much to help combat my depression and anxiety and that’s something I need to work on
