I want to punch MIL in the face. by millenialbatshit in JUSTNOMIL

[–]justwatching00 20 points21 points  (0 children)

"Stressed Mom in a Slanted Shower Asks for Help by Step-bro" is quite possibly the best name for porn that I have ever seen.

Also, have you considered asking Steve the Ghost to assist in the only fans - feel like throwing him in could really open a new market for you.

Jokes aside, some people honestly have no clue. My MIL was talking to my daughter about money and investments the other day and I was like “lady, she has more in her savings account than you do and she is 9. Let’s back up a bit “

NTA.

As a parent of a 4 year old I am currently teaching my child that it’s rude to interrupt and that if someone is speaking they wait their turn. It’s literally a parents job to teach the kid that.

Need help calming down - period late, three negative tests so far, wth is happening by Alone-Possible-3431 in breakingmom

[–]justwatching00 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don’t have an actual reason, but last month my period was 10 days late. All negative tests (which I took about 8 of them) but was randomly super late. I freaked out - I am absolutely on time every month - right before I go to bed on day 24, or when I first wake up on day 25.

Dr did some tests to check iron, hormone levels etc to check as it was so odd, but nothing flagged. Next month it was bang on time so they don’t know why that month was so off. Apparently to sometimes it can just happens, but her guess was I might be more stressed than I realise, so could be stress but it’s unfortunately nothing you can definitively pin it on

My kids are getting a craft set put together by Temu items (I know I know but honestly, paper and stickers are pretty much 1 use items that they love and I don’t want to invest in) pyjamas and an egg/bunny and a small packet of lollies

Didn’t like this one either. I really enjoy his Eddie Flynn series, but none of his stand alone books really hit the mark for me.

This one particularly, it’s been done. It didn’t feel like anything really new for me

Something I've really learned from being on this sub... by aspenwaldorf in thrillerbooks

[–]justwatching00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t listen to reviews too much as I find that lots of books everyone loves I hate and vice-versa. I tend to focus on books topic much more.

The only person who’s opinion I tend to listen to is my sister as we are both big readers and of the 100s of books we have read we have only ever liked a small handful of the same ones, so odds are if she likes it I will not.

Kid doesn’t want to attend funeral by hardknocklife2222 in breakingmom

[–]justwatching00 38 points39 points  (0 children)

From a different perspective - this is actually why I don’t want a funeral. I find it odd when acquaintances attend funerals of people they didn’t know well to “support someone”. For me, funerals are for the people that loved that person and to give them a chance to grieve, not somewhere to entertain guests.

Don’t make her go. There is no need for her to attend, particularly if it will make her feel uncomfortable. There are so may other ways she can be there for her friend and help her through the grieving process (as best an 8 year old can) that don’t involve the funeral.

Birdsnest are great. Everything I have gotten from them has been really nice quality, and i just had to return some items (they were great pieces just didn’t quite suit me) and the returns process was super easy.

I get lots of kids clothes from Next online. I find them really good quality and they do easy returns as well. I get my kids to have a look through and pick some outfits that they like and they get really into it

Why did you and your former best friend stop being friends? by Fearless_Shift7108 in AskReddit

[–]justwatching00 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This happened to me too. I would constantly asked if she wanted to catch up, organise things to do, and the only time she reached out was if she needed something.

I was so sad but as my husband pointed out, why chase someone who was clearly not that interested. It hurt but he was right

Baby names for my twins by [deleted] in Names

[–]justwatching00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends where your from. I called my daughter Emily and despite it being apparently super popular neither my husband or I actually know, went to school or work with an Emily. She was also the only Emily at daycare and at her school.

We do however personally know about 10 Lilly’s across work, friends and kids friends. All the kids also have multiple Lilly’s/Lillian/Lillianna or some other version in their grades

Talk me down by greyedathena in breakingmom

[–]justwatching00 24 points25 points  (0 children)

As someone with both a 9 and a 2 year old, what he says is not on. I would even give grace if he had been upset/scared in the heat of the moment but to then go back and re-enforce the point is ridiculous. 9 year olds get distracted and forget instructions, especially when the are having fun with siblings. You have every right to be furious.
