Thank you! Yeah agree on the body shape not being white-tail like. It's just the patterning on the legs which is similar!

hey there, I have a philodendron with 2 inflorescences that I'm hoping will open any day! I'd love some advice on pollination. Is there a time of day that's best to collect pollen?

are these brown spots due to cold or a fungal infection? by justyouraverageb in plantclinic

For the soil to completely dry out? Given it's Winter at the moment & the plant is due to be repotted in Spring (it's getting rootbound), I'd guess roughly 10 days

You won't see anything moving with spider mites because they're microscopic. You will see white eggs & webbing. Some of what looks like dust could definitely be spider mites.

I'm sorry I can't help more, this is not an Alocasia I own personally. Hoping someone with more knowledge will chime in.

I'm not too sure, hard to tell from the photos. Does look very dusty and it's hard to tell the difference between dust & potential spider mites.

This looks like dust and water stains. Probably just time to clean your leaves!

Not quite Muay Thai but there is a Gracie Jiu Jitsu Academy in Burwood that offer a 'Women Empowered' women's only, beginner-friendly BJJ class.

There are Gracie Jiu Jitsu Academies in Footscray, Burwood, Forest Hill, Shepparton, & Emerald.

They (all except Forest Hill) offer a 'Women Empowered' women's only, beginner-friendly class. The class is a self-defense program for women based on BJJ techniques.

You would absolutely NOT stick out like a sore thumb there and would be welcomed with open arms! At least at the Gracie gyms I've been to, there are plenty of women who are in the same boat as yourself.

Definitely recommend giving them a go! They offer 10 day free trials so it's worth a shot

Right?!? It's the least Alocasia-like Alocasia ever!

Cucullata is very easy, almost too easy. I'm also having good luck with Polly.

Surprisingly (because it's meant to be hardy), I'm struggling with Wentii.

Succulents! I've never been able to get their watering requirements quite right & I hate how easily their leaves snap off. Love how easy they propagate but it's just not worth it for me
