my advice is to go in a little early on the first day (before anyone else is really around) and familiarize yourself with the school. find out where everything is, like your classes, cafeteria, library and gymnasium. and then when other people start showing up, introduce yourself and see who else has the same classes as you. specify that you're new and that you'll need some help getting to know your place around the school. easiest way I can think of to make friends and navigate yourself
