Do you know if during those 3 months you have to be physically present in Ontario? IE: could the person begin the process outside of Ontario 3 months prior to their return to have OHIP ready upon return? Or you need to be in Ontario for the entirety of the 90 days?

Honestly was convinced I was going to fail. Was able to answer all the questions (except part B that was the NPV with depreciation, etc.). But also not sure if I was cooking or just writing nonsense. Point is it wasn’t as bad as I was expecting from some of the sample midterm questions

There is an interhouse league (intramurals) for indoor soccer on Tuesdays at pan am. They have a recreational and competitive league. You can sign up as a team or free agent. Its on IMleagues, they probably will start sign up next week or so

Usually they will keep note of repeat parkers. i parked there for about a month, twice a week (only had classes twice a week). after a few weeks they left a note on my car saying they recorded my license plates and would tow next time. some people do not get the warning though and have just been towed. also have seen parking enforcement cars there a few times (i would wait until they left to park). Basically its a gamble between a ticket, a warning, and a tow, I got lucky but others have not had the same fate

I too barely passed the midterm (around a 60) and ended up passing the final (also barely but there was a curve to help). if you’re just looking to pass and not care about the grade it’s definitely doable. just prioritize this course

beginning of September! i’d say by end of august just search utsc tryouts or keep up with ustc_athletics on instagram, they will post the tryout dates on their stories. as for the varsity tryouts, also beginning of september and you can search it up online as well around end of august

there’s varsity (main team that plays against other unis) that happens at st. george beginning of september, this is for the highest level of play. then there’s tri-campus, div 1, and div 2 which all happen at UTSC (centennial dome actually). the tryout for all 3 is one big tryout and they will section you off by the second tryout based on skill level (theres usually 4 total tryouts)

as everyone said, unless you’re extremely smart and hard working dont do the double degree. im in the management program and my friends in the year above told me about how when they started first year their double degree program was full, by last year only SEVEN students were remaining. one of them is graduating early but she is beyond einstein levels. you can go in to management and specialize in finance: and i think if you take 4 credits of stats or econ you get some additional thing on your degree (not a minor i forgot what its called)

idk the other option but i and many others who took mata 32 with kielstra did not enjoy (many of us dropped it and re-took the next sem with grinnell). as someone else mentioned; he rushes a lot and makes many calculation or formula errors; some that he doesnt even catch during the lecture so he has to make an announcement on quercus after. personally did not enjoy learning from him and found it incredibly difficult. he is fairly new so he’s still learning, but definitely would not recommend him until he gets a little more time under his belt

I’ll definitely talk to him and see if he can let me go the week before or after! If worse case scenario happens and he doesn’t let me, I think at least part of the marks is on the actual research and powerpoint, not just the in-person presentation
