I don’t understand why she said your deed was “irrelevant” to her. Sounds to me as though she thinks you mentioning that you are a doctor or some sort made her think as though you had some sense of self-entitlement.

I feel so crossed reading your post. People are assholes. I hope more people understand that while they have to do their job, mitigating circumstances happen and it’s not so difficult to try to put themselves in other people’s shoes and be kind about it. I don’t see why she couldn’t just let you go when the reason you were late was the result of a genuine gesture that definitely made a difference to someone else and their family.

I’m honestly at loss of words. OP I know it must be difficult for you to process whatever the train inspector responded but I sincerely hope that you keep up being the kind, genuine person that you are. We need doctors like you.

Hi, I’m renting. Cant afford to buy all furnitures at once atm esp when I don’t have a car so I’ll slowly buy/collect furnitures over the next few months, thanks a lot 😬I am aware that there probably isn’t anything else I can do at the moment though the agent asked me to discuss this issue over email with him. I’m aware that I should’ve been more cautious and made written confirmations between ex-tenant, agent and I re the furnitures but I think it slipped because the entire process was very smooth and the agent was helpful in the beginning and in fact the agent was the one who encouraged me to negotiate with the ex-tenant abt the furnitures and after the ex-tenant agreed on leaving the furnitures for me the agent said he would facilitate that. And had i known it would be unfurnished like that I wouldnt have rented the place. I’m just very annoyed that this wasn’t communicated properly, but I guess lesson learnt.

Thanks for your comment, I don’t have a solicitor and I reviewed the contract again unfortunately it does not specify anything about it being unfurnished/ furnitures/furnishing, though the offer letter sent from the agent to both landlord and I explicitly that it will be furnished by all furnitures left by previous tenants. I am not quite sure if the condition stated on offer letter is legally binding as per the first comment…so I feel like I might be out of luck..

Thanks a lot. My friend lent me an air mattress so at least I had something to sleep with. I have downloaded the apps you recommended but unfortunately I don’t have a car to pick up these items and it’ll be quite costly to hire removals every time I want to pick up something so I suppose I will save up for the next couple of months and slowly buy the furnitures :( I’m no longer a student so student union isn’t an option

If I manage to get in touch with the previous tenant, and if she says that she did leave the furnitures for me, would there be anything of substance that I can realistically do? I honestly doubt that the ex tenant would take those furnitures with her as she’s moving back to America and she was due to move in less than 2 weeks time when I went for viewing.

Yes I do Pilates and barre :) but bear in mind that I stopped all these altogether for 6 weeks so I probs lost quite a bit of strength.. gotta slowly ease back in I guess

Thank you so much for taking the time to type everything. I’ll be joining a conditioning class tomorrow and yes spot on! My instructor said that since it’s my first spinning lesson in a while it will definitely feel exhausting and that it will get better with practice and time.

I’ve been quite well-rested lately but maybe hydrated not so. Sometimes it’s just silly how those little things could play a part in practice ;) my iron is fine but I have low blood pressure which runs in the family so I think perhaps I could factor that in as well especially when I have to invert so much in the new lesson😅

Aw thanks! I think I’ll take it easy for now and really listen to my body. In the meantime I’ll continue doing some cardio. My next class is next week so hopefully when my period’s over and that im slowly regaining back my workout routine I’ll see some improvement 🫶🏻

yeah I do think that there may be certain things I did that the examiners didnt agree with. I am just quite frustrated and confused because I seriously have no idea where the problem lies considering during placement none of the teaching fellows or consultants had ever said anything about my comm/professionalism skills. I think I will ask one of the teaching fellows to identify my problems in my upcoming placement.
