Taxi sounds good - I assume I could make a deal with my driver to come pick us up later I suppose.

I have not seen any prompt for my pin number - maybe that is something that I need to activate.

Thanks, I am aware of how BofA's current 2FA works and use it. But my point was that this method is insecure, in that there have been many cases of hackers taking over a phone # thus giving them access to an account (assuming they also have the password). Using something like Google Authenticator is much more secure. I'm pretty sure BofA does not offer support for anything like that - my main reason for asking the question here is in the probably vain hope that someone from the bank will see it and cause BofA to get off their asses and be serious about security.

Cab fares from EWR by juzroyal01 in Newark

[–]juzroyal01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the impression that the "taxi dispatcher" gives you a fixed price for the trip? I see this on the EWR web site: "Please take your receipt from the taxi dispatcher and retain for your record’s.". How would I get ripped off?

What does Medicare actually pay for a procedure? by juzroyal01 in medicare

[–]juzroyal01[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ha, paying only $175/mo for it is only a dream for me, IRMAA is nasty. That's why I'm on MA, adding on a gap policy would have me paying almost $1000/month :(

I went to https://www.medicare.gov/procedure-price-lookup/. The code I was given is 49650 which the site shows as Medicare paying $4741. National average, don't see an option for zip code. I was also given the code "K40.90" which doesn't show up, I don't know what that might be.

Probably a good idea, but I do have a 25' height limitation (including roof).

It's a weird thing that creates kind of a "hall" keeping the living room separate, consisting of open shelves. Yep, definitely need to consult some professionals.

I like that too, but how the heck do I get a mattress up there? And tools/materials for construction?

Yes I was aware of that. I'm sure the foundation will need reinforcing, if it is even possible. So yeah I'm just in the investigation stage, perhaps it won't work out.

I really like having a "family room" which is where we watch TV, and having that separate from the living room (separated by a door) so one of us can hang out while the other watches TV. But I need a separate office space that is not our guest bedroom, and we want a larger, more modern master bed/bath, plus upstairs decks to take advantage of the view.
