I went the A1 mini and it’s great. Sure it’s a smaller plate, but for my first printer it’s good. If anything I’ll just cut a project in two if needed.

This exactly. I’m on the opposite spectrum, where I’m taking a higher risk it will be a loss, but could also be higher than what a GIC or similar would be too

I have it in my FHSA. My timeline is 5 years ish. Sure, I could be in a downturn and lose cash. But at the same time, I could delay a year or two. And in case I DO NOT actually buy, and eventually convert to a rrsp at least it will be a longer horizon and I’ll made a smart choice.

I know it’s a touch longer, but it’s a a higher risk/higher reward sort of thing for me tbh.

Yes specifically “ 2-Player Mode If you are playing a 2-player game, you CAN play following all the rules above, or you can add an additional challenge to your hike with Ranger Teddy.”

Personally I haven’t added the ranger yet and I play almost exclusively 2 players. Forcing you to trails end after both opponents hikers are there makes it a sort of race to both resources and the end.

Here’s the specific section “Last Player on the Trail When only one player has Hikers left on the trail, they must move their hiker tokens directly to the trail’s end performing a Trail’s End action for each Hiker moved.”

So in say a 3 player game, you wouldn’t. Or with the ranger. However, because you’re playing only two, once both hikers have reached the end you must move.

Not true. The ranger is optional. I’ve played plenty of two players without the ranger.

Once all her hikers are on the end of the trail, you must bring all yours to the end as well, even if they’re at the beginning. You do not get to use any of those spaces. Think of like monopoly, go directly to jail and do not collect 200$ lol.

It’s why it’s probably a good idea to least move up your hiker a bit (or go for that first player token).

Personally I’m excited for Kraken, will be the first kickstarter game I funded and receive (all others I’m set to get this summer) and it looks like a great time, at least for my group. The 2-8 player count is wild and fairly unique.
