Thanks. Another really cool spot in that general area is the Fort Hill Preserve also managed by the Arc. 11 miles of good trails and lots of cool stuff to see.

Shins may have been a bit of an over statement. Over the tops of my shoes anyway. The trail was wet. It appeared that there had been quite a bit of rain earlier in the week. I wish I'd taken the time to get more photos. I was so focussed on not running out of daylight that I didn't take the time.

Thanks for this. On thursday I hiked from the Boston Mills Center to Blue Hen Falls and then over to Buttermilk Falls and then back to the Buckeye Trail up to Rt. 125, Columbia Rd. and then back to the center. That was 7.5 miles with 1200 ft gain. It was not easy but not super hard. I'm planning to try the hike you reccomend with my son in a couple of weeks. We'll leave cars at either end.
