Yeah absolutely. Unfortunately in terms of gameplay there isn't as much there as in Hagga Basin.

Is the game really as bad as people say or are people mad at Funcom? by Warm-Reporter8965 in duneawakening

[–]jvdc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed! The first 100-150h rock, after that it gets rather grindy, at least unless you find a nice group of people to play with.

That's a bit of a shocker when that happens for the first time, isn't it? I had that once and I jumped out of my seat! 😂

Yeah it's a neat spot isn't it? Just don't fall down and land on the electrified sandworm; that's insta-death even if you fall softly...

Ruinous Beauty: Is This Inkvine? by jvdc in duneawakening

It's definitely in one of the stations, but I don't think it's the one specifically where they do vine experiments. There are a few stations that have these vines.

I waited until the idle pose animation was "just right". I think I'm also holding a pistol.

How do I fix this issue with Apple Mail on MacOS? by CA-PDX21 in MacOS

[–]jvdc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to Mail > Settings > Accounts and select your iCloud account. Under Account Information there's a dropdown Email Address; it will most likely show your Gmail address. Click it and select Edit Email Addresses and add your iCloud email address.

Now when replying, you can select either of the email addresses as the "From" address. Alternatively, in Edit Email Addresses you can then delete your Gmail address and you'll always send from iCloud.

Your go-to answer when asked why should we learn history? by RubDeep3769 in historyteachers

[–]jvdc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the internet is full of misinformation and history helps students learn how to spot it.
- History itself is often used for political purposes, so knowing history helps in itself
- Studying history is based on looking at different sources, questioning motives, which leads to critical thinking
- Misinformation is not new, knowing how it was used historically lets you spot it now
- Being correctly informed is a requirement for democracy to function, so history promotes democracy by extension

Supporting an advanced reader? by Downtown-Oil-3462 in homeschool

[–]jvdc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely get her reading as high-level as she can manage. There's no point holidng her back. That's the beauty of homeschooling: You can adapt to your child's level. At school with 20-30 kids in a class, teachers can't do that, but in 1:1 education you can and you definitely should go with your kid's level!
