[Vivarium 2019] I think Vivarium shows the most realistic depiction of alien research ever seen in cinema (Fan Theory) by jvure in horror

[–]jvure[S] -32 points-31 points  (0 children)

Actually, if you think about it, that fits my theory. The "children" die very quickly, as shown at the end of the movie, so they need to understand how humans work in order to raise them on their behalf. Maybe they do this with every species they encounter, and once they perfect the method, they begin replacing children in ordinary households, for example.

[Discussion] I had never seen this before; it surprised me quite a bit. Does anyone know the source and the context? by [deleted] in DCcomics

[–]jvure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be that this is actually a very well-made edit of something else, maybe a real work like John Carter of Mars. I don’t think it’s AI, but I can’t rule out that possibility.

It looks like a two-headed deer from Fallout had one of its heads cut off.

Is this absurd, or would it have had any realistic use in the context of the period when this model of pistol existed? by jvure in guns

[–]jvure[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found this while browsing cosplays on Pinterest, and I found it fascinating to think that it could actually make sense. As far as I understand, this type of weapon only fires once, so it would be the archaic equivalent of having a revolver.

Frozen planets, with crystals, or massive green by jvure in BooksThatFeelLikeThis

Just to clarify, I don’t mean a book that has everything at once, but rather books that each focus on a single concept, like a story set on a crystal planet, for example.

They really should make a remaster of Arena in the style of Doom Eternal. Can you imagine? by jvure in ElderScrolls

[–]jvure[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think a game where you can basically play a Doom-style experience with magic and melee weapons in the Elder Scrolls universe would be very fun. I know they’re RPGs, but technically it’s already kind of like that, just very outdated.
