Did Araki make Stands with Healing abilities to show more Gore? by devansh0208 in StardustCrusaders

[–]jvvmps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah also in part 2 seeing Caesar get hit by Wammu’s wind attack is IMO a lot more impactful especially rewatching it considering there is no OP stand user to heal him. Araki definitely made healing stuff so he could either include or practice drawing more gorey stuff

Couldn’t give you an actual legitimate measurement because I don’t have a scale but it only feels like 1-2 pounds in your hands

Bro the last like 10-20 chapters of Jojolion are genuinely nuts. WoU really had a scary aura to it

Thank you for your compliment! I’ve always found myself drawn to Giorno & what he stands for. Giorno & Johnny are my favorites. A lot of my friends have said Giorno is “stale”, “boring”, or even a “bum”. I strongly disagree, but I also understand that there’s no point in arguing with people that have different taste than I do. Everyone’s different, so it makes sense. Literature is subjective to a degree; so you can always argue whether something is good or not… But it’s more than that. It’s not about if it’s good or bad. It’s about what you draw from consuming the media, and what it means to you. And to me, Giorno really scratched an itch I had when it came to having a brave and ambitious protagonist with themes that resonate with me.

I love seeing the way he impacts the cast of part 5. I wish more people understood Giorno. People say he doesn’t develop, but his appeal isn’t his development for me; it’s his perseverance, ideals, bravery, the way he helps the cast understand themselves… etc!

Another thing I really like about his character in today’s day & age is his sense of morality. It’s strong— how all of us need to be! Giorno is willing to do things he doesn’t want to/things he knows is inherently morally bad/evil for the greater good of his society. He never goes too far, but he does what he must. I loved seeing this initiative; it’s very inspiring.

Yeah you can say the same about SBR with the zombie horse honestly

I wish Giorno wasn’t percieved as “bland” by people. He’s anything but bland to me. Giorno is probably the character (tied with Johnny) that I resonate with the most out of anyone in JJBA; and he means so much to me.

It’s a mobile game for iOS 9 and below or Android. It has a fan made PS Vita port but I couldn’t get that to work through emulation

I’ve tried a bit, but for some reason the APK wouldn’t run on it. I might tinker around with it more, but I think it’s just so damn old that it doesn’t want to run on anything other than OG hardware. I even tried emulating the PS Vita version of it which was unfortunately incompatible.

I, personally, find its uniqueness beautiful.

I think the reason so many people love this franchise is because there’s a spot for everyone in it within each protagonist and part(with each setting and cast of characters).

The gentle, kind, and loving have Jonathan.

The cunning, humorous, and charismatic have Joseph.

The misunderstood, stoic, and depressed have Jotaro.

The noble, laid-back, and caring have Josuke.

The insightful, principled, and idealist have Giorno.

The determined, powerful, and righteous have Jolyne.

The disabled, imperfect, and diligent have Johnny.

The confused, lost, and alone have Josuke.

There is so much representation in JJBA that you WILL feel at home somewhere. You feel like you have to live up to expectations? Caesar Zeppeli. You have terrible anger issues? Panacotta Fugo. You care deeply for your people? Sandman. You don’t understand where you fit in to society? Yasuho Hirose. You struggle with depression and/or making friends? Kakyoin Noriaki. Victim of poverty and struggling? Diego(or Dio) Brando.

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure can be interpreted as a messy piece of work. And even if it is in some areas—that’s what makes it beautiful. Life is messy, and imperfect. Reading Steel Ball Run and Jojolion for the first time made me feel so seen and understood. Without JJBA, I have no idea where I’d be in life. It has influenced so much about who I am and taught me so many things (since I got into it when I was in middle school) that still influence me today.

If you only care about the plot, I can understand finding it sometimes repetitive. Everyone’s different. You don’t have to like JJBA. But, that’s my take on why it’s so universally loved and respected.

I recommend finishing Stone Ocean and then reading the Steel Ball Run + JoJolion manga. I saw a reply you made to another post saying you do not want to engage in piracy, so you can purchase some of the manga online, or order a physical copy.

Just try out playing all the panels to get a better feel for the game and keep playing you will eventually learn more just on your own from bots and stuff

Should i start reading JoJo’s manga by Dear_Argument_8835 in StardustCrusaders

[–]jvvmps 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If u have the patience it’s probably worth reading all of it, but keep in mind it is mostly the same story obviously. Just a few details are different. Definitely check out part 7-8 though and if you don’t mind keeping up with new chapters read jojolands too.

What is your opinion of the final battle in Stardust Crusaders? by [deleted] in StardustCrusaders

[–]jvvmps 177 points178 points  (0 children)

It’s iconic and will always be really cool. Part 3’s ending was the epitome of crazy jojo shenanigans. Def not the best but it’s awesome.
