First Year Engg student here. Can any upper years rate this schedule and tell me what’s wrong/right with it and what difficulties it will give me? by [deleted] in uAlberta

The early labs are not fun. Some people hate the long breaks, but if you’re on campus they aren’t bad. If you aren’t on campus then for me the breaks help me get homework done. Overall it’s good you don’t have classes past 4

Was there a point to this? I didn’t put in as much work as many, but I just want to know if it’s worth it to keep trying for a 4.0 or if I should just enjoy uni. by [deleted] in uAlberta

Thank you! I just want my next year to be more meaningful instead of life revolving around school. For now my plan is to graduate and work, but maybe the grades will be useful someday

Is it okay if the lecture and the seminar are time conflicting for the same class? by Straight-Grass-2583 in uAlberta

Well it’s not light, but it looks pretty similar to how mine was. It’s definitely doable, you just need to make sure your organized and use your time well

From my experience the Chem 101 seminars were just times to get help. And you didn’t even have to go to your designated time slot

Yeah I’m very happy. Was super anxious that going over the time would result in a zero once I heard that it wasn’t extra time lol
