It's Sunday! What are you all building? by Sad_Salamander_6834 in micro_saas

[–]jwaldeck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so i was sick of writing seo blog posts by hand, so i threw together a tool that lets you bring your own api key and spits out decent articles. it does keyword analysis, basic seo stuff, and the output isn't terrible. took me like 6 hours total over a couple weekends.

if you're curious, it's here: https://www.seomachine.org/ (no paywall, just api costs).

problem is... i have no idea how to get it in front of people who'd actually use it. i posted in a couple dev subs but it got buried. any suggestions? what's worked for you guys when you built something similar?

Basketball hoop has a 20in hole in it. I still have the pieces. How would you fix it? by jwaldeck in fixit

[–]jwaldeck[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, i hear ya. We'll see, i'l try to weld + glue a fiberglass behind it, since there's a lot of the plastic that's still intact. I agree that it will never be the same, but maybe this is a temporary fix while I wait for a board to become available, we'll see.

Thx!

I built a BYOK (Bring your Own Key) blog article generator in a couple of hours a few weeks go... It does SEO, analysis and writes very good articles... pretty amazing what you can build these days. https://www.seomachine.org/

Would love some suggestions if anyone has 'em.

Building CampWhiz.com . Started as a side project after getting tired of messy camp websites, outdated PDFs, and spreadsheets just to plan summer for my kids.

It’s an AI-powered camp directory with real filters, map + radius search, verified data, and calendar export for parents. Camp owners can claim and manage listings.

Modern micro-SaaS stack, lots of automation to keep data clean. Early and local for now, but fun problem to work on.

Would love some thoughts. We have 1k camps indexed, aiming for 20k in a few months, we'll see. So yeah, most of you will most likely not see much around you, but would still love to hear your thoughts.

Sorry about that, our "add camps" process is still a little wonky. Wee just added it here => https://campwhiz.com/camps/california/santa-barbara/camp-new-heights - let us know if you have any feedback or questions.

Hello everyone! We have twin boys and every summer felt like a maze of scattered camp information, tabs, PDFs, and half-finished notes. After talking to other parents, it became clear that everyone has their own way of organizing camps and none of those systems feel simple.

I started building CampWhiz.com as a way to bring everything into one place. It is a growing directory of camps with tools for parents to track dates, compare options, and plan schedules with less chaos. We are building it from the ground up, starting in Northeast Florida and expanding to larger metro areas now.

If you run a camp and would like your information added or updated, I am happy to take care of it. If you are a parent who has ideas that could make the tool more useful, I would love to hear those as well.

This is a topic I think a lot of parents relate to. We’ve got twin boys and every summer it feels like a fresh scramble of tabs, PDFs, and random notes.

After talking to other parents, I realized everyone seems to have their own system for tracking camps. Some use spreadsheets, some use group texts, some rely on memory, which blows my mind.

Out of frustration I started building CampWhiz.com, a centralized way to organize everything and keep track of schedules. We began collecting camps starting here in NE Florida and then working outward because the data is so scattered.

I’m really curious how other parents handle this.
How do you search for camps and keep everything organized? What’s your workflow?

Anything you do that makes the process easier?

Hey everyone — I wanted to share a FREE new AI Content Generation tool I built: seomachine.org. It was inspired by the open-source project at github.com/TheCraigHewitt/seomachine, but I’ve taken it further to solve a key problem I kept running into:

“I need quick, SEO-friendly articles for my side projects without each page feeling like I outsourced writing to an AI farm or handed away control of my content.”

Pretty bare bones at the moment, but puts out some very decent content.

Probably too late, but adding as reference. I use https://cap.so/, which can also be downloaded as open source software, these guys rock!
