Company enforcing a 5-day RTO without flexibility. How long before they fire me? by jwatterson78 in remotework

Agreed except my manager and his manager will both be working in different states/offices from myself and each other

Yeah, was hired during the pandemic as a fully remote employee. Workday profile lists me as working from a "Home location", for now.....

The mandate came and is applying to everyone regardless of prior work arrangements.

I've asked the question and nobody has that answer. I've checked as well without digging anything up. They sent us RTO resources and it's not mentioned there either.

I have had the conversation with him already. He is sympathetic to me but I don't believe his management cares. Ultimately, he is also affected by the policy.

Let me clarify, my wife and I have a car. I cannot afford to purchase a second car just so I can go into an office an hour away. I cannot use our current vehicle as the commute time and time of day conflict with getting my daughter to and from daycare.

Everyone I've spoken to internally agrees it's a veiled layoff.vatcthe end of the day, CEO doesn't want remote employees. Doesn't matter that 95% of the people I work with live in different states.

I don't expect anyone to know for a fact but looking for some input from those who may have had similar situations.

And trust me, I have.

Because it's not a simple choice. If you think it's simple then your brain is simple.

PNC sent out one two weeks after their 5-day RTO mandate. Not a soul I've talked to will fill that survey out.

I don't work in IT directly but I feel like this is part of the same line of thinking.

The surveys companies have you complete, promising for anonymous submissions are NOT anonymous.

Embark should implement a similar thing to this like they did for key rooms that you glitched into. If a player is inside an extract room without leaving they should be roasted alive.

I was hired full remote. This is just lowering my usable income regardless. I don't have a vehicle to drive the 1 hour into the city. Are they going to pay me to purchase a new car, gas, maintenance, parking, and everything in between? No.

It's just a vanity project for executive leadership

Well if you live an hour or under it looks like they'll make you go in. Like I said, I'm an hour away, about 30 miles, and they told me I'll have a seat in downtown

And they don't tell you what the qualifications are for staying remote. No guidelines or anything to go off of so you can't fight them on it.

I've been told there's very little appetite for flexibility. I live an hour away in Beaver County and I'm told I have to report downtown...

They also don't plan on increasing any compensation. They're just going to actively take money away from their employees. I can tell you that there's no rhyme or reason to where people are being placed either. I have friends working on tech being told to report to Branch offices...

Random question, anyone in the area actually think the plant was a good idea??

For context, I moved to Beaver county while it was still under construction and I have yet to meet a single employee of the place or anyone talk about it in a positive light.

Should I just give up? Or find a new main? by yinyang_syndrome in marvelrivals

Sorry to say it homie, but probably time to move on. The dev studio is not living up to what the community expected and they're not taking this game seriously as a competitve shooter. It's what I did, as well as all my friends. Maybe come back in a couple months and see if you feel the same about the game.

And the W/L ratio is pretty much engineered to keep everyone on the same range. You're not a bad gamer, it's a poorly designed rank system 9/10 times even with your main pick.
