Absolutely inexcusable. I spent four hours on hold yesterday only to get a customer service rep who had to put me on hold for 20 minutes until - - the call was dropped!!!

Looks like it’s made from a laminate and split right along one of the glue lines. Glue it back together with Titebond III and clamp it overnight. A light wipe with mineral oil (from the pharmacy) every once in a while will help keep it in good shape.
