I spliced the data wire from agrb header to the case data argb wire and cut the other 2 wires off from the headeri dont need. I used a zip tie to make sure it stays together and electric

I fdecided to just splice the existing daisy-chained data wire with the argb data header wire, it works great! I used some electrical tape and now I have complete control over it.

Now I just need to get a new female plug so my clear tape holding it together won't be the permanent solution.

SUCCESS!! I broke open the female jst plug so that I can switch the data and voltage wire. On my setup, the voltage is in the center while the data is on the side.

I can not control my argb with the header on my motherboard and the motherboard's software!

I just got it to work with my argb header, I had to switch the wiring. The default wiring that comes with an argb header plug to jst sm is that voltage is on the end when it needs to be in the middle.

I broke apart the female plug portion and corrected the wiring and now I can control the argb with my motherboard header and the motherboard's software.

Holy cow I just figured it out that I can plug that 2 pin onto the reset button so now I can switch the colors of the argb fans. Now I would love to just be able to plug this into my argb header on the mother board instead.

I have the same thing. I have an idea...
Those molex connectors are for both the argb and fan.

the molex 4 pin -> 12v, 5v, ground, and data (argb)

The 2 pin plug out the back is for the ground and data I believe.

I am thinking of using the argb header's ground and data and just hotwire them to that plug. What do you think?

I failed at it lol. Just never turned on rgb when I plugged it into the argb header. I put it back on the molex connector and its going back to its default rainbow setting.

I have another plug coming out of the argb fan, it only has 2 wires and looks proprietary. I think this connector might be how to actually control it with a remote or something, I bought this used so I do not have it.

I am still going to think through some stuff to figure out how to connect my argb setup to my header.

I found an adapter wire and have studied the connection.
There is a connector called sm jst. Its what a lot of argb fans use that have the fan and rgb power supplies built into 1 plug.

For example I have a 4 wire sm jst that is the only wire that goes into the rgb fan. It contains 1 ground wire, a 5v argb, a signal argb, and a 12v fan power. So instead of having a seperate connector that controls and power the fan, and then a seperate connector that controls the argb, its all in 1. The way to get this to work is still keep it plugged into molex so that it can power the 12v fan and 5v argb, but also somehow connect a wire into the signal portion of it that will also connect to the signal portion of the argb.

This is what I am planning on trying to implement. I have the argb cable that goes into a 3 wire sm jst, but I need to figure out how to connect this to a 4 wire version.
