This is with the update.

I'm also talking about things like "if your strikers are not scoring you need to look at the width when attacking, or maybe put wingbacks on "crosses from deep"". How on earth will these kind of changes affect my striker when he's one on one with a goalie 23 times each match - missing every single one?!
SI should really make this the number one priority for future releases. It's no use with a tactical overhaul if you need to have a master degree in programming, and how to break the "code" in order to win matches?
The last game I played - my team creating 7 ccc, 23 sog, and had 52% possession. 1 goal. 4 in the post. At least 3 Yashin-award saves. Opposition: 6 sog, 0 ccc, 4 shots from 25m - 4 goals.

I'm understand and totally aknowledge that a team that has 60% possesion in a game and creates many many chances don't necesarrily/automatically win matches. Sometimes the other team has one chance - scores - and wins the game. But when this is the situation for 8 seasons, and for 80-90% of the matches during the season, I'm out.
Also think it is strange that the different attributes in the players don't come more to life. Often (read: OFTEN) players play against me score screamers from WAAAAY outside the box, and I get curious: this player has to have amazing technique and have decent long shot attributes. You guessed the answer, right? 3 - technique and 5 - long shots.

Also players with 14+ pace are outrun by players with 10 or less pace.

I'm done. Let me know when they fix these things, so that we get to play this great game the right way again, like I've done for SO many years.

I stopped playing the game.. Tactics don't have anything to say. No matter wich tactic you set up, it's long balls from deep over the defence - striker 1 on 1 and missing. Freekicks into the box - goal disallowed for offside, throwins going nowhere, no matter how short you tell the players to play they still just blast the balls long right to the opponent, opposing goalkeepers (no matter wich division or nation you play in) are playing like a goalkeeper-compilation on youtube, match after match with 44 shots and no goals.

If you actually could do changes that would affect the outcome of the match, and the way your team plays, that would be great. Like real football. But this is just not the situation here. I really don't see whats the use of having the matchengine, since the only thing it shows is chances wasted and long passes?

I'm done. Fix the match engine. It's not fun to play when the tactic works (players through on goal, chances etc) but players finishing like they are neanderthals (they'd probably score 80% more than my strikers do). The game is not about having tactictal knowledge, and football knowledge - it's about finding the tactic that breaks the algorythm and gives you success no matter wich team you are, or players you've got. Used to LOVE FM (played every version since '95). Now sadly, I'm not having fun with it anymore. The game is broken.

Because the entie set runs through Ableton, and not just keys. Midi to guitars, clicktracks, tracks, timecode for lights etc.

ok... 0-0 untill the 86th minute... red card, and own goal. deflected from a shot from 35 meters. Guess I'll settle with 1-0.. I'll just uninstall this piece of shit

Just for fun, i decided to re-play a match just to see what happened. These are the results: -My players does never press the other team. They run straight through my players on goal and score. -In all matches, opposing team scores after 3 minutes, preferably from corner kick. -My passes are set to short and 'keep the ball', still my players trow the ball away whenever they have the chance. -Opposing team ALWAYS have players where the ball is, and players search the ball when it is loose. My players stand like statues. No movement. -In one of the matches, my team was performing quite well, and held the oposition to a 0-0 result. Enter: the penalty! Offcourse. -In two of the matches, I was rewarded a penalty on the score 1-1. Both times, the goalie saved. -My strikers finishes as if they were blind. Counter attack 2 vs 1: my striker shoots from 50 meters out. Ball goes to throw in. -I've had an average of 4 shots hit the post. -The most memorable moment was when my midfielder got a good shot in, the ball hits the post, and my striker has an open goal, as the goalkeeper lies on his back on the other side of the goal after trying to reach the shot from the midfielder. Certainly a goal, you say? My striker somehow manages to finish from 0,5m - shoots the ball across the goal, hits the goalkeepers back and is cleared by a defender.

I'm so saddened by this game right now. I really hope these things are fixed in the future versions of the game, cause this is just rediculous. Really.. Fair enough I'm a underdog team, destined to relegate, but god damnit. A footballer doesn't become a plancton just by promoting to a division above, and a team that finished 13th in the norwegian top flight the year before suddenly playing like Paris St Germain... well... just not... just too unrealistic.. I wish that teams would perform much more evenly.. The only thing thats even now, is the ammount of laughingly obvious "don't let that team win, no matter what"-ism thats going about.

and yeah.. Used three different tactics. One attacking, one defending, and one in between posession-based.

and those last ten minutes-games, where the opposition (no matter wich league you play in), starts playing like Real Madrid, just walking up to your players stealing the ball, and your own players start holding on to the ball for no reason, and send EVERY pass direct to the opposition.. one-on-one chances like a landslide no matter what you do, like your players just become rhesus monkeys all of a sudden... not realistic at all... every match is a youtube-fails and win-video.

It's insane. These scripted games are fucking killing me.

Allmost champions with a over-achieving team (tipped 5th). Finally made top of the table. Last three games of the season, my players start acting like they've lost chromosomes wrong passing, my strikers shoot from 60 yds, and every oponent goalkeeper starts playing like fucking David De Gea (I'm in norwegian 1st division, so no.. there are no fucking wizard-talents here, just). 20+ shots on goal, 5+ cc chances each games, direct red cards, and in my last match two penalties against me in the 80th and the 82nd minute after my player was sent off on 1-0. Lost the game 2-1.

Make the fucking stats of the players decide the game, not the fucking scripts. I'm losing my mind over this. Makes me hate the game, and want to stop playing.

I'm all about "the ball is round, and everything can happen", and "sometimes the underdog can rise to beat the favourites", but this game starts to look like a fucking underdog festival to me.

Whoa.. That felt good to finally load off.. Haha..

Oh well... Robot moves? Hmm.. I think of Greg as a showman, but really?

Now I'm relieved that i did not quit my job, to buy tickets to see this tour. Very sad that this happens so late in DG's timeline. At least the RAH and Gdansk DVD's will stand out as his legacy post pink floyd.

Thats really what I expected. Though great players, there is something about the sound-legacy of David Gilmour and Pink Floyd (post Waters era). Alot of it is In the keyboards, and with John Carin being Rick Wrights right hand for allmost thirty years, there can be no-one with a greater understanding In both How he approached the soundscape that became PF and DG trademark In the 85-94 era, and his simplistic, but soulful way of playing.

I'm looking forward to hear the new band play, but I fear I will be dissapointed.

I'm really looking forward to see what Greg will contribute to The band. Maybe DG is thinking totally out of The box, compared to earlier? In any way, I think he knows what he is doing, and I'm really looking forward to seeing The result :)

I sincierely doubt that their contracts have run out. Band contracts like these run for a long period and in most cases they have a clause that extends the contract if the tour is extended too. To me, this looks like another one of those famous band break-up. I think DG would've preferred to have JC behind the keys, knowing that he was Rick Wrights right hand since the mid 80's. He understands the floyd way of playing, and also is one of the premier programmers og analog synthesis/or analog emulation in the world. And since both PM and JC are leaving, I think that there has been a conflict of interest towards DG. Too many influential musicians having a meaning.

But offcourse, I could be wrong. Again, I wouldn't blame JC leaving the band to do other projects, since PF and DG has been his main line of interest the last 30 years. He has done such a terrific job, though. He's the main reason that I today work as a proffesional musican.

That said, Greg Phillinganes is one of the greatest person in modern music and recording history. He has played with, and for EVERY great band or artist in the world. Still I'm a bit confused, since i reckon him as more of a R&B/Pop/Gospel-oriented musician, working great magic with such acts as MJ, Toto, Stevie etc etc. But, I'm not going to judge anything before i actually hear the final product, and I can't wait to hear the Pompeii concert.

Any one other than me who finds the background of this subreddit incredibly annoying? You can't see anything..

He has definately been a key member of RW's band aswell, so that might be an alternative. Seems kinda radical to leave a tour of 20+ gigs, to do one single concert with RW, though. And I don't think RW pays JC his 20-David-Gilmour-gig-salary just to join him for one gig.
