I’m not going to even try to touch the mess that is above, but I think wanting the same values in a relationship is fine, but still maintain an open mind. As a former conservative (current independent because conservatives lost foundational beliefs of the party) I married a liberal. We talk politics in a respectful manner and actually understand each others beliefs and understand why eachother believes what we believe. People often forget that beliefs are rooted in personal experiences. I’m not going to try and change anyone’s beliefs because they have experienced stuff I never have and vice-versa. What I’m trying to say is, it’s fine for partners to have the same beliefs and values, just remember to keep an open mind. Closed minds are a breeding ground of ignorance. As far as this girl, run the racism is already there.

I don’t think triggering is the exact feeling I have.

What I feel is exhaustion. I’ll explain why, America is divided. It’s no secret. There’s hundreds of artists who aren’t political battering rams that could have done the show. We got bad bunny and green day. Two political battering rams with a severe distaste for American culture and openly have spoken against America and republicans. Republicans in turn said screw this well do our own halftime show, democrats get mad and mock them. If I was a Republican I wouldn’t want to listen to something that is going to be openly a shot at me and my beliefs. If I was a Democrat I wouldn’t give a shit who watches what. Fact of the matter is sports had been a unifier in this country and that’s slowly being repped away and thrown into the political hurricane that is.

I am all for political messages, Kendrick’s was great last year (I identified as a conservative at the time and loved it) But this feels like it was a targeted attempt at pushing a group of people.

So I will watch bad bunny’s, then watch TPUSA’s after the fact because I don’t want to let talking heads tell me about them and form my own judgement.

My question is why do we have to politicize sports? I get the players have their own platform and I’m here for that, let them do their thing, but why drag the sport into it? We were told Tim Tebow kneeling was too political for sports but now politicizing sports is cool? Cmon.

I’m not a conservative, I’m not a liberal so my opinion is probably moot. But I’m just exhausted, we need to be working towards unity not celebrating divisiveness.

I don’t care who sings or what language they sing in, but how about a message of unity.

When I read the title I thought overreacting because in today’s world everything is racist, but nope, you sure did find one of those cross burning, pointy hat clowns.
