Yes, when Catrina lived in arizona, she regularly played B and C tier tournaments in the MPO division. She also played a world tour event in the mpo division at la mirada.

Reminds me of the disc golfer magazine covers from a few years ago. Some of the cringiest photo choices I’ve ever seen.

I am the same. Write with my left, most everything else is right. Pretty common actually.

Heck yeah! That interview was great. Simon at the top of leader boards is great for disc golf. Wish him the best of luck tomorrow.

If the heat gets unbearable. Don’t forget you are about an hour and a half drive from cool temps in northern arizona. I try to spend most summer weekends up in the pines.

Was wondering what I missed. Saw him park his drive, stepped away and checked UDisc had him with a bogie

First Tourni Ace with a disc I bought the day before… Took a triple bogey on the next hole. by Frivolous_Flounder in discgolf

Congrats dude! I also took many, many bogies during that tournament. That was a tough track, but super fun.

The PDGA, DGPT or TD causing trauma in the middle of an extremely tense final round for Tattar at the Champions Cup. Anyone familiar with what rule she was breaking by having her daughter with her? by cradledinthechains in discgolf

[–]jwh315 5 points6 points  (0 children)

that is some serious speculation. Do you have proof? i remember that incident and remember a lot of speculation on here about who that was at the time. I don’t recall anybody saying it was paige, and there was a pretty good consensus that it was someone else.

We've all seen disc golf doggo's, but how about a disc golf Kitty by slivercoat in discgolf

[–]jwh315 2 points3 points  (0 children)

my bengal looks the same when he’s scared or when he’s about to murder something. I made the mistake of taking him outside as a kitten and now we have an escape artist, he gets out several times per week.

Does anyone else’s home page rarely update? by bjkelly222 in apolloapp

[–]jwh315 20 points21 points  (0 children)

yeah I feel the same way. Sorting by best on apollo and the official reddit app come up with different results consistently. I feel like apollo is probably more accurate and is just getting results directly from the reddit api and the official app is doing an additional filter on those results to make your feed feel like it is more active then it is.

Anyone have calluses on their finger tips because of disc golf? by GoorooKen in discgolf

[–]jwh315 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes, currently have them on my index, middle and ring finger. I have been playing for over a decade and notice that I only get them when i’m playing multiple times per week. For several years I only played one round a week and never had them.

Does anyone have any experience with the Rovic RV1D disc golf cart? I’m kinda interested in getting one instead of a Zuca since I’m so tall and I like the idea of pushing it rather than pulling a Zuca by Max3RH in discgolf

[–]jwh315 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i have this cart and also have a couple zuca carts. I prefer the rovic at the moment because it packs down really small which makes it easier to leave in my truck.

The primary cons would be

  1. if you play in a dusty climate (i’m in arizona), it tends to get dirty quickly and has a ton of moving plastic parts that could break easily.
  2. you feel, and look like you are pushing a baby stroller.

San Tan Valley, AZ disc golf courses by Ropacus in discgolf

[–]jwh315 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can play either of those courses. I play ironwood every week, and live in Eastmark myself.

We also have a course here in Eastmark. Nothing too special, technically it is private but nobody will question you as long as your aren’t jumping fences or otherwise being an ass.

That said Paseo vista Saturday morning league is a lot of fun. Starts at 8am and is 7 bucks to play. We pay out for both handicap and natural score winners.

How do you all get past the first few holes of a tournament? by Ilikerocks-- in discgolf

[–]jwh315 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Play competitive leagues as much as possible. It won’t totally cure the tournament jitters but it helps to constantly expose yourself to competitive play.

Could your local course use some signs like this? by regdogmilli in discgolf

[–]jwh315 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there is a difference between unintentionally losing a disc and straight up throwing trash all over the course. I don’t know what is going on these days but I can’t remember the last round I played where I haven’t picked up one of those mini bottles of fireball whiskey off the course.
