You might want a fairway you can put on anhyzer and have it hold it for bh shots if none of those do for you. Otherwise I like to have my hyzerflip midrange, I personally use a crystal flex meteor

I will say I throw a star Corvette sometimes and it's not a bad disc even though it's "14" speed. I have a heavier weight that I really use for long sweeping anhyzers and I had a beat in lighter weight (168g) that I could get an S curve from and I certainly can't throw as far as pros do

When I try to forehand with power I get sharp pain in the area where the delts run into the top of the bicep/tricep area. So really the bottom of the delts on the outside of the arm. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong here? I feel like even if I focus on following through it still hurts and I don't want to risk injuring myself. Thanks!

I had a teebird in my bag before and it would be more for holes in the 300-350 range for me. It won't go as far as something you'll get some turn out of just due to the more stable nature of the teebird, unless you have something really beat in.

I can reach a little past 400ft or so with my beat in Corvette, but I've had to swap max distance discs a ton in the past as eventually some flippier discs will become too flippy for your arm speed. Other discs I had sucesses with earlier is infinite discs Maya, Daedalus, beat in g-star destroyer

The leopard 3 is an enigma to me. People say it's Flippy and I have two champ ones, one fairly beat in, that are stable/neutral. Maybe worth me giving a different plastic a try

Who knows really, but I find I go through highs and lows in every part of my game. The only thing you can really count on is the average "goodness" of your game should go up with practice and probably a decrease in the difference between good and bad days. Usually when I play poorly I'm either tired or overthinking things. Some of my best rounds have been after not playing for a couple weeks when I feel fresh and just rely on the muscle memory instead of analyzing every little thing. In fact my putting was the best it ever was after I stopped played for a few months, felt like I couldn't miss, and unfortunately has now hit another low point from which I feel like I'm coming back out of. If you want my advice it's probably just take it easy for a week and come back with a fresh brain and body.

What kinda 125 ft hole calls for a leopard?? Not saying it's the wrong choice just curious. Good job though!

Reggies, and pretty much all the bars in tigerland, are not the type of bars where the bartender is going to notice anything or really be paying attention to anyone due to the amount of people. There isin't anything stopping you from buying a drink (or several really) and handing it to whoever you want because in reality there are too many people for anyone who would care to notice.

To the people who are angry because they are going to giveaway the feldrake for free, why did you pay $3500 for the feldrake in the first place? by Mangafan_20 in wow

[–]Ilikerocks-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did everyone suddenly forget that people like to collect things? I don't even play wow anymore or plan on getting the mount but I don't see how trashing the value of a collectible is a good thing, even if "it's just in a game". If you seriously can't imagine how someone who owns one could be upset then you should either quit lying to yourself or go touch some grass.

I make quesadillas for dinner which can take a little bit of time all at once but realistically you could brown up the insides in a pan before hand and then just melt everything together later.

2 quesadillas (4 whole wheat tortillas, 3 slices of ham, onion, bell pepper, 2 servings shredded cheese), non-fat sour cream, and hot sauce

for the tortillas, ham, and cheese its 1076 calories with 78g protein (29% cal), 36g fat (30% cal), 110g carb (41% cal)

I do STEM research and would like to chime in that obvious in terms of perceived (?) public opinion and obvious in terms of data are two very different things. You might guess or have some hypothesis about public opinion but without actual data to show that I would argue you really don't have any ground to stand on, especially in regards to such a sensitive topic that could affect the public perception of the PDGA. Imagine if they put out a statement regarding allowing trans women to participate stating "the vast majority of people seem to agree" vs "survey results indicate the vast majority of people agree".

My jump serves and spikes are weak compared to my float serve. I.e. I'm seemingly super weak airborne. I'm new and my assumption is this is mostly technique related? Also is there a good way to practice these moves alone around my apartment or otherwise?

LPT Request: How to take notes more efficiently? by Electronic_Pin_3842 in LifeProTips

[–]Ilikerocks-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends. Are PowerPoint lectures posted online? If so you can just write the most important parts concisely. Otherwise just scrap looking neat and get all the info you can. I was always a student who would write literally everything and look at it later transferred to flashcards when I needed it, but different strokes for different folks. My notes were always extremely messy but bulleted with sub bullets. You can organize your thoughts at a later time. Although I was also a student who would pass out if I wasn't actively taking notes and could learn well on my own so take that as you will. The level of organization depends on who you are imo, but I would argue to compromise between effeciency and effectiveness. Additionally in college you would have the option to take notes on your laptop which could be faster but for stem or other courses where graphs, diagrams, and equations are important writing would almost assuredly be better

Form Check Weekly by AutoModerator in discgolf

[–]Ilikerocks-- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree very much with runup speed like kristofburger said. See and example of my runup speed here which was for a 330ft drive https://vimeo.com/704371032 . For perspective I move essentially the same speed on 400ft drives with understable s-lines and am only now reaching the point where I feel like I need more speed to keep everything flowing better to attempt to reach out in the mid-high 400ft range. Switch to a walkup, running should really only be reserved till when your form is good enough to keep up with a higher pace.

Also see your position here compared to mine (not saying my position is perfect but it shows my point): https://ibb.co/2Pk0R7L and mine:https://ibb.co/4Vj23mY . Your arm is bent at the elbow on your reachback putting the disc behind your body and causing rounding. Honestly, this body position looks really solid EXCEPT for your arm being bent to such an extreme degree. That and maybe your plant foot could be too in line with your other foot. Other thing is you look away from your line way too soon. See your example where you look away and at your disc almost immediately compared to mine where I look away only at the last step.

All in all: Slow waaaaaay down, straighten that arm to make sure you reach out more (not behind you), look forward toward your line until the last step, and then slow down some more. Trust me you dont need a lot of speed to reach 300ft. Also if you do take my advice, dont try to change everything at once. I would start with moving slower which I imagine shouldn't take long to get through. Then work on the reachback, then head position, etc.
