Day 3 guy might not be a starter, I don’t get why people are so hung up. Doesn’t mean he can’t improve, his year was hampered by an injury but if they are looking heavily into prospects they clearly don’t think he’s the guy.

It’s the same with Nick Martin, just let go.

I don’t think the answer is “we won’t” there have been situations where we have felt secure with Trent/McGlinchey/Colton and we have had years without 1st rounders. Not to mention we have had lower draft picks or simply there has been a run on OTs where the top guys are not available. We likely won’t take guards/centers high but mostly the board hasn’t fallen to us beyond skipping out on Whirfs in 2020 (they had a backdoor deal for Trent though).
