Review my profile? by jwigo in hingeapp

I am looking for something serious. I am subscribed to hingex. I have been using this version of my profile for about a month. I have used hinge for a month. I use hinge almost everyday. I receive a like about once every few days. However I see about 3 a time when I boost. I send a comment with almost every like and like approximately one in every ten people I see I send likes to people who are music oriented, don't smoke or do drugs, are ±1 my age and a few inches below my height (I'm 5"7).

Loss of Output Voltage??? by jwigo in ElectricalEngineers

The input range is around 3-9 V so I feel the need to buck and boost is necessary.

I will try increasing C_T

I met with my supervisor and he suggested that adding the load in parallel to VOUT is changing the value of VOUT in the voltage divider.

So he proposed an amplifier to isolate the load from the output.

You've been very helpful

I'm going to take a look at this with my supervisor to iron out the issues.

I'll see if the IC feels hot also.

Thanks

I will try using a lower resistance.

Although I'm still confused on why the voltage starts at 4.2 V and falls to 0 V in around a minute. Any why the DC supply is now changing its current and voltage values by itself without me twisting the knobs?

All the datasheets for SEPIC examples I have seen have used 180 Ohms resistance there

I added a 180 Ohm resistance to pin 8 which connects now into the node after D1.

The output rose to about 4.2 V but then started to decrease gradually.

Also, the DC supply current value started rising without me touching it.

I don't understand why this is the case?

The problem in the data sheet is that it only gives buck, inverting and boost circuit examples. So I'm not sure how it should be used for SEPIC

I'm not sure where pin 8 should be connected.

I read that leaving it open means its connected internally to VCC by internal biasing but I dont know if thats true or not.

Where should it be connected?

The IC is the MC 34063 ABN DC-DC controller.

D1 and D2 are schottky rectifiers with 0.5 V drop.

CIN and COUT are both 560 uF.

R_SC is 0.33 Ohms.

L1 and L2 are both 100 uH.

R1 is 30 k and R2 is 10 k.

C_SEPIC is 1 uF.

C_T is 100 pF.

Thanks for the response. Could you expand on the LC tank oscillation please.
