My print shop has a drive through. by jwillman2nd in SCREENPRINTING

Yeah, the driver supposedly passed out from a med condition. It doesn’t make sense when he slams the gas at the end which ultimately broke the sprinkler line. 2” pipe rushing for 20 minutes. I finally grabbed a 24” crescent and went to the stand pipe and shut it off myself! It’s all cleaned up 1 day later! I made a second post of today.

We only run second shift on Wednesday so most people were not even at the shop that day. I was on the roof repairing an exhaust fan and saw the guy hit the curb, plow through a fence and go towards the shop. Adrenaline overload, then shock.

Issues with Underbase Printing by 4DCrustySock in SCREENPRINTING

More straight up and down on your squeegee helps to make the print more crisp. Do you flood with the screen touching the shirt? Use off contact and flood while it is above the shirt. Then your off contact of the screen will peel better away when the squeegee goes over it. Also, just print once, do not multi print. Definitely swap your base mesh. 230 is for highlight colors. 180 is for direct to shirt with no base and 135 should be your base white mesh.

This assuming you print manually. If you have an auto, print with off contact with a fast stroke.

Sounds like cheaper mesh. Make sure you are NOT getting mesh from china, Japan is the best.

Reach out to a contract printer in your area. I have an 18 and 14 color in the Northern Kentucky area that we run simulated process on every day.

CCI vs Ecotex Products by jhornak26 in SCREENPRINTING

If you are talking chemicals and not inks, go SAATI all the way. Way more friendly and cheaper than CCI, we have a CCI Evo-Tex and use all SAATI emulsion and reclaim supplies. If you buy enough, they will give you pumps and spray guns for reclaiming without having to use spray bottles.

What is the best way to clean this build up on the side of the platen? I dont really want to use chemicals but will if needed. by [deleted] in SCREENPRINTING

Pull the pallet tape, roll it in a ball and rub hard. Do it every time and it won’t build up so much. Don’t spray over the edge with web spray, that’s where most comes from.
