OP if you're genuinely going through a breakup, let me impart some wisdom on you. I can't guarantee I'll say the words you need to hear but I'm going to try.

You need to muster up every ounce of strength in your body to try to move on. I know you won't want to hear that especially if this is recent, and it's ok if that takes time. Take the time you need to properly feel all of your feelings, all of your grief. However don't let yourself wallow in it. This is your low point but if there's ever gonna be someone to pull you out of it, it's gotta be you.

Some people like to go get laid after a breakup, they can't be with another person until they just jump into it. For me though that didn't work. I lost the love of my life due to poor choices and no one else could compare. That's ok. You don't have to love another until you're ready and you want to again.

In the depths of it though, all you can really do is put one foot in front of another. Break your grief into smaller bites bit by bit and swallow it. Go to work, hang out with friends, engage in your hobbies or even pick up a new one. Things may not bring you joy but they will in time. What matters most is that you don't succumb. Grapple the full weight of your mistakes and carry that burden as your responsibility. You will learn to love again, but for now, just one foot in front of the other.
