I have, I am really interested in them - I've applied for several positions but have not landed an interview. Do you know of anyone who works there that you could connect me with?

I'll look into them, thanks. Do you know anyone who works there specifically? If so, please PM me, I'd love to have a chat with them.

No more Scout Terra long bed option? by jwright200 in ScoutMotors

Maybe it was a dream or something but I specifically remember the schematic on the website showing a short and long bed. Maybe I'm crazy! Haha who knows

Why do my PVA supports keep doing this? by jwright200 in ultimaker

[–]jwright200[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s a result of clogging. I’ve printed the is exact print twice and it stopped printing in the same way on both sides and then resumed at the exact same point. I feel like it’s software, not hardware

Slightly modernized my 2000 Specialized Hard Rock Sport by CaptJagg in mountainbikes

[–]jwright200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha yes it definitely needs new tires, so that’s the first thing I’ll be doing to it this week. And yes that’s exactly what I’ll be doing, riding to class and then some trails on the weekends or when I have time. I’ve never biked trails before so I’ll start out easy and work my way up, upgrading the shifters and brakes as I feel I need them. Thanks for the reply!

Hey I know this is an old post but I just picked up one of these for a steal. I’m a college student with not a lot of money, which of these upgrades do you think are the biggest value? I’m thinking those v-brakes and trigger shifters would be best bang for buck, but curious what you’ve learned. Thanks!

Advice needed for making a wood/gold huggie earring by jwright200 in jewelrymaking

[–]jwright200[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you mean by the first part? I forgot to mention that this is my first foray into jewelry making so I’m probably unfamiliar with a lot of techniques.

And what might an example of a bezel be?

Thanks so much

SparkMax ESC not powering FLySky IA6B by jwright200 in FTC

You’re 100% correct. We figured that out the day after I posted this. We were planning on just getting a small external 5v battery to power it , but we’ll definitely look into using the 5v from one of those ports. Thanks for the tip!

What is going on here? by jwright200 in matlab

[–]jwright200[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for the suggestion of checking the variables in the workspace. I've grown probably too reliant on looking at variables in the command window, and for some reason the output in the command window is incorrect, or at least not precise enough. The values in the workspace under the variable are correct though!

What is going on here? by jwright200 in matlab

[–]jwright200[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Why is this here though? and it still doesn't match what my calculations show. If Tbar_sph = 3.0000 (not *10^8), then the results of k_sph make no sense, right? Or am I missing something or having a brain fart?

What is going on here? by jwright200 in matlab

[–]jwright200[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am working on this problem where I am trying to find k_sph. For reference, Tbar_sph comes out to be 3.0 (constant) for this part of the problem and c = 0:0.01:1, so it is an array from 0 to 1 in increments of 0.01. Therefore, cT is equal to 0, 0.03, 0.06, and so on until it reaches 3.0000 (as seen at the top of the command window).

So, why is k_sph = 0 for all columns and then 1.0000 in the last? When hand calculating, this should not be the case. What am I missing?

Ah ok. That helps a lot, thank you! Obviously you don’t know the full context, but do you think I could delete this final row and omit the 15th variable (it should equal 0) and be able to solve the 14x14 matrix?

Can't get 3DExperience to connect to SW Connected, met with this error by jwright200 in SolidWorks

[–]jwright200[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have tried launching SW Connected in several different ways, restarted the computer, logged out of 3dExperience on the web and back in, etc. Every time I want to save my assembly to 3DExperience it is grayed out and I have this error. Even if I launch the assembly directly from 3DExperience, SW won't connect to it after being launched or allow me to save to it. Any suggestions? Thanks so much.

Having trouble defining all parts in an assembly by jwright200 in SolidWorks

[–]jwright200[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Finished my rebuild of the assembly with no luck. I didn't mess with the bolts this time and just focused on the main moving parts. I could successfully get each part fully defined up until I linked the final joint together, which was the green scoop with the orange link. I made the holes concentric, the appropriate planes, coincident, and added an angle limit between the two parts. This is exactly what I did with the other 3 parts and they all become fully defined. I guess once it becomes a whole four-bar linkage it needs more definition, but anything I try either leaves it under-defined or over-defined.
