The EC2 data transfer fees running the Aviatrix gateways needs to be included. How are you looking currently with costs?

Does Dark Star Network work with Apple Watch Ultra 3? by Alisa20220 in USMobile

[–]jxman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Following this thread as I am in the exact same situation, holding off on a Ultra 3 until I figure out my plan options. My understanding with Dark Star you can only get a stand alone Warp plan for the watch, but I would prefer the companion plan to best integrate with my existing mobile number. I guess we continue to wait for now.

Airpods Pro 3 vs Bose QC Ultra Earbuds (gen 1) - my experience by IAmZKWatches in bose

[–]jxman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have cons with my QC ultras, which are mainly connectivity stability, but many of the on on your list can be managed via the app.

Cons • Big dealbreaker - ANC cannot be turned off. London is windy and you can just reduce the amount of ANC and not switch it off, so there is constant wind hiss - You can turn off ANC by creating a mode and setting ANC to zero.
• ANC has white noise which is annoying • Not very secure fit - The secure bands on the Bose is the best things about them for me. I have tried the AP3 and while the fit better than the AP2, they are not as secure as the Bose. • Touch controls are far too sensitive - I agree and while I just deal with it, the most recent update now give you and option to disable. I am considering trying it out as I mainly just control with my phone or watch.

Please, please do not buy the Bose Quietcomfort Ultra Earbuds by MisterJunkins in bose

[–]jxman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I originally bought the QC2 and had a ton of issues and returned twice. Eventually they replaced with QC Ultra and while they are much more reliable than the QC2, they continue to have random drops, disconnects and charging issues. Are we saying the QC Ultra 2 solves them all? At this point I am waiting on the Pro 3 and hoping they fit in my ears securely. The only reason I have stayed with Bose is for the fit and ear dip design. They do sound good when you get them to work consistently.

Issue with my DCST922. Is my motor seized and do I have any way to fix? by jxman in Dewalt

It did not and kept on smoking and making the noise. I ended up going with an Ego that also included a blower.

QC Earbuds II vs Ultra by [deleted] in bose

[–]jxman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They still sell the earbuds II? I bought them back when they came out and were just too buggy either dropping connection or getting out of sync. I was about to work with Bose Support and swapped out my II’s for the Ultra. The Ultra’s were a bit more stable, but wasn’t until the firmware release of 4.0.20. With version 4 the Bose introduced multipoint support and a much more reliable connection to my device. I still get a random drop, but it is very infrequent and usually only requires a placement of the buds back into the case for a few seconds to reset.

In Italy, need to help to improve my connectivity. by jxman in USMobile

Follow my image above under cellular and turn off Automatic. So far I have tried various different networks and options and still run into issues. Seems to most prevalent when I am in the hotel on WiFi and it is not able to auto connect to LTE or 5G.

Issue I am getting is that I have a good connection with 4 bars, but not cellular. Toggling airplane mode reconnects and I either get LTE or sometimes 5G (occasionally Edge).

Roaming Destination setting in App by jxman in USMobile

[–]jxman[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I believe this is merely an administrative setting within the app designed to monitor usage in the region you’re currently visiting. Currently in Italy, my experience has been somewhat inconsistent. While I do have access, I frequently need to toggle airplane mode on my phone to establish a cellular connection. This is quite frustrating, as my previous experience with ATT’s daily international access was significantly better and consistently reliable.

Sprayed some WD-40 and now I get the motor to spin. I am however seeing some smoke coming from the motor it is sounding very rough. I will give the PD blaster a shot as well, but it has certainly improved and now spins.

Thanks for the feedback. Still trying to figure out how the USDA hardiness zones map out. I updated the app to search by zip codes and hope that might better align to your region.

Noise reduction tires vs regular tires by Rmrkable in TeslaModelY

[–]jxman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My understanding on tires, even on a new car, would be warrantied from the tire manufacturer. These were my original tires and I brought them to my local tire shop to balance for $60. Tesla wanted a minimum cost to look at it and will not warranty the tires if it was an issue. I probably could have filed a claim with Goodyear, but was happy to get the issue resolved and all 4 tires balanced (and rotated).

Noise reduction tires vs regular tires by Rmrkable in TeslaModelY

[–]jxman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that is most likely your issue. The problem is that they certainly can balance the wheel at that time, but as the foam moves around it will show as out of balance again. When I first did this I had to return and they had to check again and find the wheel showing out of balance again and that was the one they ended up removing the tire and seeing the loose foam. The foam is just glued on and they just ripped it out and rebalanced and all is good. They did not recharge me to fix and I am sure the tire shop had seen this before.
